Better not, over time it might sink an inch or two. Happened to a few estates on reclaimed land. ie if your fill land means reclaimed land. ie originally sea then they fill sand etc.

Setia Alam first phase keeps sinking and cracking every few years .. it is on land fill.

In Msia, passing “soil test” from government means nothing, if money can settle, anything can pass …

It can be mining land also. A good example is whole of Sunway/ Sungai way, Kampung Tunku & SS 2, SS3, SS4. The drastic change in elevation proves it. Lowest point of this massive mine is Sunway Lagoon. Part of Taman Medan is rubber plantation. Only the really old people that lived here from the beginning knows about it.

Totally no-no for below:

1. Ex mining lake
2. Ex swamp
3 Ex paddy field
4. Ex garbage dump

Flood, cracks and sinking issues imminent …

If have high expectation developers will do all the measure to ensure the land fully no issue permanently … good luck … once prop sold at best 15 yrs … after that bye bye your problem …
developers will and will always do the bare minimum

Landfill? 1st time hearing this.

Have previously heard Setia Alam, in general, was swamp land or palm oil estates.

After the land reclaim nation like Singapore left it for 10 years for the soil to settle so the land will be stable enough to hold the building.

How many years left for the soil to settle do subject on the engineering and soil investigation.

Deii, landfills are usually land that was a garbage dump dulu and they fill it up with sand, rocks then earth. Puchong has one, so does Kuchai. Later dunno when floods happen easily, your place will sink slowly or your foundation will crack. There will be gas release from garbage in future esp methane which is dangerous. Many uneducated ah bengs buy these landed houses..good luck.

Dun mix up with reclaim land which is lake covered up with sand, rocks then earth. There is a period of stabilization of 5 years according to British standards dulu but since it’s MY, after siap, they build condos and houses. Example is Straits Quay in Pg where landed houses have problems with foundation due to water underneath the land moves the floors and have cracks or worse, one area sink. Puchong behind IOI mall have one big project coming which is reclaimed land from a lake that is an outlet for rain water and rivers so will be mini venice one day.
