i stay at my condo ok je. i first time heard this kind of rules.

Usually, you can hang at the balcony, just not balcony railing. This is mostly sebab the shit you hang often jatuh and kacau sekeliling, not to mention an eyesore.

As for what type of clothes hanger device allowed that is following the house rules set by that condo.

Look up strata rules. It'll affect the exterior look of the property so yes, you can't hang outside. even if you use some sort of rack or whatever.

but it depends on the condo. some cheap condo they wont even bother but usually hi keras one, some guard will come over at your door knocking or put notice on your door to notified you to clear hanging cloth

Usually people stay condo buy their own washing machine and dryer.

Can use the laundry service if don't have such machine.

Depends on the JMB. My place, you can hang clothes within/inside the balcony area, but not on the railing itself. Basically hang/put whatever you want but don't exceed the balcony/house space area.

Not environmental friendly, waste electricity when we have perfect weather to dry clothes using nature blessing.

Not everything is about our money, we burn money, TNB probably burn something to generate that electricity.

its the written rule for most new condo development nowadays. any hanging items cannot be higher than the balcony handrail

BUT my experience is, its very hard for management to enforce this especially higher density condos. also usually not many owners would give a damm to make a complaint about this, so management also lazy to take action. No people would raise this at AGM also

My understanding, SMA 2013 inky covers exterior of the building. So as long you dont go veyond ur balcony, you are fine

It is fine to dry clothes within condo balcony area but not on the railing.

Depend house rules. Some condo strict some dont care some tutup 1 eye only do work when got complaint.

High end condo usually dont allow even for backyard balcony that is not facing outside property.

Not all condos facing east/west. Some units facing directions where they don’t get direct sunlight. Dryer will come in handy in that case.

I don’t dry my clothes with direct sun light, hanging them outside in the breeze is good enough to dry them. Direct sun light will discolour the clothes faster and also spoil the rubber bands in socks etc.

Your modern tech is wasting electricity which generate unnecessary carbon footprint. Old is gold.

Everyday complain global warming and extreme weather, but simple yet most effective way to not waste electricity also don’t want to adopt just because some ppl feel they more high class by using dryer.

Inside balcony lah, I installed those hang from balcony ceiling type. Got hand reel to move the rack up and down, clothes won’t get wet even if raining unless it’s those crazy storm.

If management ban hanginf clothes it does not care hang inside balcony or over the balcony, if it is visible from outside no means no.
