sorry. there won't be a pick up date confirm.
since i am not taking big money out of this recable ksc75 business.
i still have to put my study at first priority. .
more over, i can't simply just do it for sake of being fast.

so. nope. there won't be a confirm pick-up date, as i am not free all the time just to do this business in full time.

Wonder if you have that white-white cable ver. among those 20 units that you mentioned earlier (interested to buy here) rclxms.gif

lol
i though u already got recabled version?

no within that 20unit. it's all blue white. no colour option since it is a very fast recable..
and
i am seriously considering that start from now on, that i am running very low on white and orange cables.
so most probably.. in future. only blue white available.

no more orange.
hitman and inruyet took the last 2 pair of cable for orange.
now only left blue white only.

QUOTE(feiraron @ Jun 10 2010, 09:24 AM)
yeah thats what i meant by sibilance... sssssssssssssss, tttssss
overextension of the treble region perhaps.. when i say harsh i meant its piercing.. maybe i should just say there are sibilance..
and yeah i do believe my tolerance with the treble region is low.. i am really sensitive towards it...

dont worry no need to get all defensive guys.. Im not saying that this headphones is not good at all.. the sound is quite good, and for the price its unbeatable...
and the wire is freakin awesome, kudos to pcwork, the white-white looks awesome with the silver plugs.. ksc75 is never a beautiful headphones but with the wire at least its still something worth just looking at..
besides now i believe its not that piercing.. seriously some songs are that are not bearable to be heard before is now quite ok... its still present but better than before.. I thought ive read somewhere in this thread before that pcwork himself said it would be harsh out of the box, and i agree with him..
*
let it run for 40-50 hours.
the treble shall tame down.
it's due to the driver is brand new.
and during my recable. i just check the connection with multimeter, and plug in to an ipod nano to inspect the sound signature for a few song.
so it is safe to say that ur driver is in brand new condition.

is there a difference in sound for recabling a brand new driver vs recablings a burned-in driver..?

wait.. i think i'll figure that out myself later.. smile.gif
*
got..
=P
recable a burn in driver, immediately u can spot a huge different.
recabling a brand new driver, u need sometime to let the driver run in.
though eventually after sometime. both unit will sound the same.

hm..
just from my experience. i not sure it is accurate or not. but that's what i feel.

that after recable, the driver moves differently after recable. which it reproduce the deeper bass part.
but
eventually after longer time, both sounds no different to my ear.

at first, with stock cable. say it burn in as midbass- mid - midtreble -treble more. then after recable, it still need sometime to let the driver to fully perform as there are some region that it doesn't produce sound before. like lower bass, or higher extention.
regarding the micro detail, it only will shows up after the driver is fully burn in and the driver is well intergrated with the new cable.

but eventually after the driver is loosen up. it don't really shows a very very different, unless the user is using it to hear some vocal song only. then it will sound very much different with a unit that the user hears all variety of song.

Above statement, is just my point of view.

some headphones, like grado.
when before run in, the bass is seriously tight, and treble is hot.
so when i recable it, it opens up even more treble. which as result it make the sound much more harsh than stock cable.
that's why i recommend grado user to burn in the headphone good enough before recable.

but ksc75. brand new recable already can shows improvement in the sound. hence i do it.

satisfied with it.  rclxms.gif
but sometime have some noise sound, feel like something vibrate inside the driver...
sometime normal...
*
lol
then i am quite sure..
somethings had drop from the back of the driver. or some of ur ear is sticking out from the sponge, touching the driver, and hence causing the vibrating sound..
but do carefully take off the sponge.. and carefully check if there's hair poking out from the sponge.
which might cause the rattle.
it's either front of the driver has some things , or the back of the driver.
if it is back of driver has some things causing the rattle, after u checked the sponge of the headphone, then with driver facing up, back of driver face down, try to shake it gently. it might make the things inside drop out.

hm...

can send it back to me.
i can try to fix it.
or ask someone to pass it to me and wait on the spot. it is a 5 minute fix. if can fix. then it will be ok ,but if it is too serios (if the diaphram had already deformed) then 5 minute also already can know that it can't be fix anymore.

ouch.. a dent.. you can try using a needle (use the blunt end) and put some glue tack (roll into a tiny ball) to stick to the end of the needle......stick and pull out the dented part (be gentle tho)

but since bro PCwork is willing to help you fix, better let a pro handle then having more damage being dealt smile.gif
*
this method cannot do.
ksc75 membrane is super thin. even as thin as HD650 type of headphone.
putting a glue to glue it. might cause more deform surface area.
and u might actually stick the silver coating out.
or voice coil which is no longer align with the magnet.

nah nothing much, just thought that an exp cable to go with exp plugs  flex.gif
*
well i can't seems to find better cable that suits ksc75 though.
and as i said.
that cable i used for ksc75 recable, is a result of testing more than 11 type of cable i done 3 years ago.
there are some extremely expensive silver cable / gold plated cable / ribbon cable used to test
but non of them is as good as this cable in ksc75 though.
