sometimes don't look too into the future, appreciate everyday. don't over work today for the sake of good future (find a balance point)

touch wood we may not reach the age that we thought then regret why didn't spent more time with loved one

not only that

always remember

Ditto.
Moved back to Sarawak in 2015, and never looked back since. Best choice ever for me due to personal circumstances.
Occasionally will drop by in KL for works purpose, visiting friends/relatives, or for satisfying retail needs.
Other than that, I prefer moderately busy life in Kuching, though life here is slowly increasing in pace due to the ever growing city post covid.

U see, setapak once uopn of time was so damn peaceful, greeneries everywhere, less traffic, less cars, Less condos/apartments.

Now? Niama chibai, everywhere condo by the PV fuckers. Jam everywhere, buildings everywhere, cars everywhere, jam everywhere. Farkkk i hate setapak nowadays. Way too congested. I hope the building stops.

now they are doing the same thing to taman melawati where i live. even now oso traffic is a standstill .

so many proposed condos back there near the green areas. in 10-20 years it will be near unhabitable as the sheer volume of ppl

deswai me now is saving for an exit plan to retire away from KL . even ipoh or some suburbs in Sabah is gooding.

job opportunities in smaller towns rather hard to come by
unless the some huge infra project coming up or factory move

currently staying in a small town
takes me 20 mins to cycle, drive 5 min, moto simpan kat opis gi bank kemana
ada gunung nak panjat
good food sana sini
nightlife boleh laaa but confirm not as hebat for young ones
mak ayah bini tak brapa jauh
janji gaji hujung bln

That is nice. I wish I had the same chance as you. When single I've worked a few stints in cities like KK and Tawau , Sabah for few years. I find it not as bad as KL . The town is a bit slow , yes. But It kinda grew on me . For Sarawak, I've heard Miri is also not bad?

More and more job opportunities are available throughout Sarawak lately. Due to booming of new industries here, such as hydrogen, microalgae, renewable energy and etc.
Miri is a nice and clean city too, around 300k population and adjacent to Brunei. Pace is slower than Kuching.
From Miri can easily drive to Sabah, through Brunei and Limbang.

For Kuching, we may not have the largest malls and most popular retail franchises, but we have alot of heritage shoplots, museums, kampungs, beach, mountain, caves, rainforest, river, and cultural elements to enjoy.

man ayam just felt so tired these days man. this city life is starting to drain me

endless malls and traffic jams.

at 1point everything felt so artificial . nvr into much social life anyway .

sometimes ayam do think of just selling all stuff and moving out to some remote place at other states outside KL

anyone worked in KL and successfully move away from the city to outskirts? when finally u able to do so?

City living is not for everyone. If you cannot take it, suggest you move out before it takes a toll on you.

Also, why the need to go to malls? Just go somewhere over the weekend and enjoy it.

Go outside of KL, go to Janda Baik, go to Genting, go to Bentong, go to Sepang/Morib/Tanjung Sepat, go to Seremban, go to Melaka, go to musuem, etc....

Most of the jobs in Miri/Bintulu are oil and gas related...Not that diverse in terms of job opportunity..

If you are not in oil and gas, susah ler....

Either you like the cranped & fast paced city life or you like the peace of small towns

Nothing wrong with either
