Your amd system confirm fried everything? Or didn't check yet? Might be processor still ok, then you can just buy used motherboard

Not really, but you say you want save money ma. Change motherboard cheaper.

Liquid means cap explode lo, motherboard confirm GG. Processor should probably be safe.

it is really depending on how much work/risk you wish to deploy with around 500rm budget.
ryzen 3200G is 330rm, and A520M/B450M board is like 250rm brand new from shopee. and sell away your 2200G if you found out that it is still working for cheap like 100 to 150rm.
second hand ones may get better used board for cheap.

6th and 7th gen intel processors can only get second hand. u have to look around, but it sure is cheaper vs above option.

Board cheaper than the intel processor he mentioning. I would first go to shop like asashi viewnet or those repair shop ask them diagnose see how much. If not then buy a secondhand a320m board or b450m board, at least can sell back off won't lose much money, just hassle of buying and selling. Want to save budget is like that lo

gonna abandon the upgrade....

Ahhh EM difficult a bit. Well if you really want 6700 and can get cheap then buy lo, no need hassle. Since it's also upgrade over your 2200g anyway.

But if you buy back b450 and use back AMD, you can buy 5000series chip in the future to upgrade la. Depends on what you plan or want to do.

If your ancient system still works enuff for you then no need change. Use that money to buy UPS or else next blackout even this dinosaur kongs then you got nothing to work with.

what Gargamel_gibson suggested are good ideas... if u start with the am4 board first and that solves your problem, u now have 2 systems.
and u can deploy the excess budget to get a second hand 7th gen intel cpu. almost anything of the mainstream 7th gen will be way faster than your 2 core pentium (I would try for i7 7700 although it will still be quite slow vs modern processors). At least you will feel a vase improvement.

edit: sorry, i don't know much about video rendering... so that department no idea if any of these old processors will be better

UPS buy 2 time already....
both kong before the desktop kong...
the amd mb not fry cos blackout,
i think got short as my unit main fuse short circuit....

also, my area dont have good UPS to choose....
last time APC kong, after that prolink...

look like the only route is save first ....
later get better system...

Aisey, both UPS kongs coz they died saving your system, so when you run w/o your unstable electric supply terus kill your PC directly. You change CPU/mobo also just waiting for next blackout to die. Maybe even more as your PSU might have ady been compromised so it could die too. You get a new system also just waiting for it one day.

Sorry to say lar but this is what i see happening.

In this case your problem isnt a new CPU/mobo but you first need to somehow improve your house electric supply since UPS also easy to die. Maybe home power isolator or something. Just my 2sen take it or leave it.

For what its worth you can do some simple troubleshooting.

Most (if not all) mobos have POST status LEDs and some other functions during startup ie fans will spin. Try see if these work when you press ON.

If not, and you see/hear nothing happen then confirm mobo kong dy. Move on to try with another mobo to see if CPU also konged.

If yes, see the POST LED status where it cycles to, if it goes past CPU it should "normally" mean CPU function is okay. Then perhaps need to see if your mobo igpu output fried by switching to another video port or use a GPU to test. If the LED is stuck at CPU that usually means CPU kong.
