Cant say much until it's actually announced. That said, if they made ev tax cheaper by making icev tax more expensive, then they are being unfair to marhaen since there's no economical ev options plus the still poor ev infrastructure. If they just make ev tax low, then they are missing out on revenue that can be used to improve ev infrastructure. Summore, when ev finally gain mass adoption, they would have to restructure the tax again. Not particularly a hard thing to do, just not elegant. Not a tax expert but i would guess it's better to implement rebate, discount, or tax return for ev, structure a sensible tax for ev without messing with icev tax until the time comes. More complex implementation, but much more flexible at a glance. This post has been edited by cursetheroad01: Mar 31 2024, 01:44 PM iUnique liked this post

Road tax in MY should be to repair the road, more heavy or bigger vehicle pays more for maintenance, but EV being more heavy and more powerful, which destroys the road faster pays less? What type of logic is this?hhha lurkingaround liked this post

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Mar 31 2024, 01:13 PM) It would be a disaster if they introduce sub 100k ev now. Our public charging infrastructure would simply collapse. If like this then EV mmg for the rich la. Since b40 cannot afford and the charge infra pun not there. Mmg for the rich. So tax the cars appropriately. lurkingaround liked this post

Makes sense now. To help ev adoption. It will not make sense to make it more expensive if we want to move to ev
