Hi, im planning to get a Zune end of this month. I need to know couple of things

1) Can it play divx?
2) Is it like itunes where if have to convert the files to play. Or we could just take an mp3 and shove it in.
3)How's the battery life?
4)Zune 30 or 80? Which one is better?

1) no.. it cant play divx. but you can convert your video to zune supported format
2) yes . it needs zune software only transfer files from your pc to zune. (but there's a hacking way)
3) 12 hours audio, 4 hours video
4) i personally prefer 30 gb cus not much forumer here have got 80gb.

4) if you need larger capacity, then u can go for ZUne80, zune 80 has larger screen and it was 30% slimmer than zune30 and the screen is made by glass, i will go for zune80 if i got enough budget

Firmware 2.2 can hack and support asian character already? If can't really hassle oh, then I'll stick to v1 firmware 1st if can't.

Let's say I convert my APE songs to WMA loseless to zune, after sync can I delete those WMA Loseless file? Don't want to keep the ape and wma loseless man, waste of hdd space.

you mean after snyc into the zune ? delete the wmalossless inside the zune ? yes you can delete songs inside zune.
once i downloaded the ape files, i straight away convert it to wma lossless and delete the ape files. since wma lossless can convert to ape format and wav lossless format too

heard that if you delete the files that are currently synced to the zune , it will be deleted off the zune too

so you'll have no choice but to delete teh ape files and keep the wma lossless files

what nles means is he want keep ape file in hd but delete wma lossless from his hd,
but i read over the reivew..if you delete it, it will delete the song in zune too..(dont is zune old software or new)

Yea that's what I read, I prefer to keep the original APE lo.
Convert to wma later convert to ape again, later the quality reduce.

I have a question, can we use the zune as UpnP ( universal plug and play ) just like thumb drive or flash mp3 players (drag and drop).

Because i want to backup some files or use it as portable hard drive since it comes with 30gb space. Is it possible?

only hacking can . but still need to use your home pc only can plug and play , others pc need to install something inside... dam mafan ..haiz
