i think u need to use ur brain consistently so that it will function more effectively. how do u think a nobel prize is awarded to scientists whose research benefits people immensely? is that not progressivity? keep on doing ur mental gymnastics dude bcoz ur not so bright after all

Yup, I was right, seems like you dont understand the word progressive.

“Progressive,” in its essence, relates to advocating for social reform and seeking improvements in societal issues. It’s about pushing for change to advance social justice, equality, and the betterment of society as a whole. Winning a Nobel Prize doesn’t automatically enroll one in the ranks of progressive activists. You can be a genius in your professional field and still hold personal beliefs that range anywhere on the political spectrum. Their prize-winning work is a testament to their intellectual and professional contributions, not necessarily a reflection of their stance on social reform or progressivism.

P.S. I’m not doing any mental gymnastics, you’re just an idiot who dont understand what certain words means.

Sorry man i think you arguing semantics here without considering how widely used the word is

You blow up your search results you literally get this. Bolded part was what was ommitted

2. (of a person or idea) favouring social reform.
"a relatively progressive Minister of Education"
favouring change or innovation.
"the most progressive art school in Britain"

yes in certain context it can mean advocating for social reform or generally societal issues

It could also mean championing innovation as and individual or a collective . Masyrakat/negar progresif has been used as a catchphrase over the past few years. I doubt the person who coined it had wokeness in their minds

When we use the term "progressive," especially in a socio-political context, it typically invokes the idea of advocating for societal reform. This isn't just a matter of broad interpretation; it's about recognizing the most common usage and the implications that come with it.

The term "progressive" indeed encompasses a wide range of applications, but its most recognized and impactful use is in reference to movements and efforts aimed at societal reform.

To suggest that winning a Nobel Prize is progressive overlooks what progressivism means. Nobel Prizes recognize outstanding contributions across various fields, including science, literature, and peace, but they don't automatically align with the principles of societal reform that define progressivism.

If the guy wanted to insinuate that jews are more advanced then there are many other ways that he could do it, not my fault he choose the weakest argument he could find.

I agree with your wall of text but most pertinently in my layman non lawyer point of view

- Its mainly off tangent to the original arguments you guys having.

Progressive was just recently bastardised into societal reform. It meant a whole lot more in the not too distant pass.

Heck if i specifically googled progressive and innovation to prove my point sure you could say i was continuing a narrative.

But its literally what you searched...expanded

Like I said, the guy choose a very weak argument for his case and he worded it poorly. Whether the word progressive is bastardized or not is your opinion, I don’t set the rules I just play by them.

Maybe you should teach the other guy how to make his point clearly and more eloquently instead of making stupid correlations
