Hello people, I'm interested to try a keto diet cause I've heard some of my friends telling me that it's super effective and healthy. Has anyone tried it? And where I can get a custom plan for my body?

Thanks!

I've been on the keto diet for a few months now, mainly because I wanted to lose some weight. Basically, I eat more foods like cheese, avocados, and chicken, and I cut down on things like bread and pasta. It was a bit tough at first, especially giving up my favorite snacks, but I started noticing a difference after a few weeks. Not just in weight, but I felt less tired during the day.

Keto helped me lose weight and feel better overall, but it's important to make sure it's done right. You can get a custom ketogenic diet plan here.

sounds like you just cut carb/sugar, not totally keto

It’s essentially a ‘high fat, low carb’ way of eating. Find lots of fatty foods and limit carbohydrates to perhaps just once a day. And even so, make sure those are good carbs like white rice or vegetables, and certainly no junk / sugary / fast food.

After some time of doing this, you’ll notice good changes in your body but perhaps you still can’t get rid of certain niggly things plaguing your body. That’s when you shall transition to full carnivore. And your body is even better than when it was under keto.

But, baby steps, dude. Start your keto first.

Sebelum start keto, buat blood test to see ur cholesterol base line. Then u cna just eatch a lot of chiropractor dr berg or thomas delauer videos. U can do high fat or low carb options. U can try low carb klu u nak cos mcm dr berg says , u need to practice healthy keto. Also make sure ure on plenty of electrolytes when on keto or low carbs to avoid the flu

Effective as in what, to lose weight? Then after achieved the goal, are you planning to stick with it? If no, guarantee gonna rebound. Source, own experience.

Healthy is somewhat subjective. You can still be healthy on standard conventional diet.

Plus keto tends to be rather expensive if you want to have variety. You won't last if all you eat is the cheap keto foods I.e eggs and chicken

The basics are avoid sugar and high carb.

so, no bread, no rice, no noodles, no sugary drinks and food.

Basically avoid high carb food and high sugary food.

avoid food that comes with gravy.

avoid apples, oranges, grapes (lots of sugar).

Eat avocado and strawberry instead.

Eat vegetables especially broccoli.

There are low-carb bread and noodles you can buy from certain shops. But they are expensive.

Chicken rice (without the rice of course) is one perfect example of keto diet. Eat the roast chicken, the sio bak, and the cucumber. Fat is good for you. Then, add in more of your own vegetables. Drink plain water or soy/almond milk (without sugar of course, you can buy these from supermarkets).

Might need to check blood test regularly on strict keto diet. Besides cholesterol level, need to check sodium, magnesium and potassium level. If low, might need mineral supplements.

A bit late into the party, and I see the acc as a "Suspended" flag, hopefully is short term. I have been on keto/carnivore diet for the last 3 years. There is no "custom plan" for your body, unless you have an existing allergy or health complication or are on some kind of medication.

Seems like you have a misunderstanding of what "keto" is. It is not a diet, but a way of getting your body to function in a certain metabolic state, ie ketosis. This is done by cutting down your carbs to less than 5% of your daily "caloric" intake. Meaning if you typically eat 500 grams of food a day, you can only eat up to 25 grams of carbs.

"But don't our bodies need carb for energy?"

Yes, but only a very small amount, and your body will make all the glucose it needs through gluconeogenesis. At any given time, your body has less than 1 teaspoon of glucose, so why do you need to consume 200-300 grams of carbs into your body? Answer is, you don't.

Anyway, no point going into so much details if you're suspended. Once it is lifted and you want to continue the conversation, reply to me.

Cholesterol is not a nutrient of concern. You body makes 70% of the cholesterol in your body, if you consume a lot of dietary cholesterol, your body just makes less. I would say the risks of going to a "strict" keto diet is what type of fat you're consuming, if you're taking in a lot of plant fat, that's probably not a good idea.
