My cousin bought the cx5 2.0 2 years ago, with leather seats. I would say generally SUV is not favourable to rear passengers, because rear seats all feel bumpy if you drive fast. But I not sure for those expensive SUV cost above 200k,

Although CX 5 rear seats is a bit smaller but still acceptable to me. And the cushion of seat is very comfortable.

CRV is more favorable to the rear passenger in both space and ride quality. Especially the CX5 19".

Depends, before our family get the Xv & Forester we tested the HRV & CRV. Just few corners and went into some urban roads already feel bloaty and my mom complain want to vomit (Car Sick). After that we went and test drove Subaru, on the spot we notice the ride quality is totally different. The latest SK Forester interior space actually already beat CRV, if you go search for carlist previous SUV battle Forester come out no.1 when all the points add up. If you want to be fair, pick up whole family and go test drive in different road condition and compare between it.

We test drove the CRV previous model many years ago and it's the same experience. Even at very low speeds the vehicle going over speed bumps, the "added" bounciness could not be neglected. However, no vomiting feel though. 😂

The bounciness was not only felt by other passengers but me being the driver. Bearing in mind this was with low speeds probably around 30 km/h when going over speed bumps and I suspect it will only be worse when the vehicle is travelling at higher speeds going over uneven surface or bumps.

Did not have chance to try the Subaru because no dealer and no demo car to test. So servicing might be a problem.

I drive the CRV G6.

Where you stay? Just go to their official website and check for showroom-locations. I got member from rural areas (Kelantan) also can go KL/Penang test drive/service, is about passion and really interested or not. Their service schedule also only 6 months or 10k whoever reach first, so can plan ahead.

Corolla Cross Vs HRV Vs X50 Vs XV

If your priorities are comfort, reliability and low running costs then Corolla Cross should be the one.

If you prefer handling, XV handles pretty well.

If you want value added features, then X50.

If you want good looking, then HRV.

Going from Kelantan to KL for after sales service is too much of a trouble for me. To me, that is akin to, I have to serve the car instead of the car serving me.

Yup, gf and friend was shopping for a smallish SUV also, and this was the verdict.

Toyota Cross -> puke.gif boring old UMW T and no tebu, just test drive for the heck of it because T showroom was next door to H, even on paper already rejected for purchase
recommended for unker and auntie who climax when touch T badge.
Proton X50 --> my choice for GF to replace her old car, she made a booking but delivery was super slow... so instead
Honda HR-V --> it was launched before X50 delivery, and she like it better, so cancelled the X50, and now happily driving it.
Subaru XV --> friend bought to replace his RR Evoque that was flooded shocking.gif .. XV adequate power, good handling due to boxer engine lower centre of gravity.
