bought something at aeon supermarket today.

tried out using self-service kiosk to scan aeon bank app's aeon member barcode.

initially, loading is slow to reveal the barcode. almost gave up. darn annoying sluggishness. tried few times only able to retrieve the member bracode.

paid using other "grocery" cc.

aeon points not credited yet. i wonder if it's just 1X point since 3X if using Debit Card.

anyhow, was just trying to see if the aeon member barcode works or not.



update 20240528: gotten 1X member points today. spent RM100.65, gotten 100 pts.

yup, with their aeon bank launching and integration with aeon member rewards, it's kinda getting complicated as different payment mode will get different X-point multiplier

even aeon member card itself have different earning rewards from time to time.

aeon bank/credit should build a table matrix to illustrate how the points earning and redemption behave:

some prefer physical card for physical payment mah. you can do ecom fully doesnt mean others behave the same

aeon bank says got 1% markup

it's not where the source of the $$ comes from, but rather what is the transfer mode.


if employer uses payroll software or corporate bank transfer/bulk transfer, usually the mode of transfer is IBG. then Aeon Bank cannot receive, as it is not under IBG (outdated).

if the employer manage their own payroll transfer using normal account and using DuitNow transfer, yes Aeon Bank can receive the salary.

could be temporary unplanned downtime

no issue for outgoing at 10am+ and incoming at 2pm+
