Take note that Indah Water charges are going to be increasing again next year, from RM12 to RM15 per month.

Got a shock as they just adjusted last year, and seems like there's another adjustment effective Jan 2024. Don't recall seeing this in the news.

Old rate of RM8/month was not changed for 28 years.

Jan 2023: Increase to RM10/month
Jan 2024: Increase to RM12/month
Jan 2025 / 2026: Increase to RM15/month

So yes, the plan is to double the old rate within 3 years.

If ur hse is independent septic tank. Then IWK cannot bill u monthly.

They can only charge u when u request for their service. For desludging is RM260-390.

competency is still lacking in IWK but they are still miles ahead of any other agency in Putrajaya.

1001>1500 = rm10

1501 > 1999 = rm12

2000 > 2500 = rm15

> 2501 = rm20

Correct that is the case, however that is not what is happening. Those with private septic tanks are now not only forced to pay IWK rates but must also pay private contractor for desludging services. Oh wait ... Even vacant houses must pay for IWK services accordingly, perhaps IWK kira ada hantu yang guna IWK services kut from the time the house was built although vacant !!!

Benda yang boleh tipu dapat lebih banyak duit, tipu je la. Cakap benar apa gunanya ada dapat bayaran lebih ?

vacant house can apply for exception but they need you to prove from your water bill that maximum water usage is 0.1m3 (if not mistaken). If the usage is more than this, you can't apply.

Even you snap the photos for them that the house is empty, no electricity is connected but only water, they wont accept too.

So they really count for hantu use lor

Solution is to blacklist those who don't pay on credit rating, since it's also an unpaid debt. CCRIS kena cannot get loan then see they pay or not.

This is also a good idea.... unfortunately under Madani everyone will scream oppression over everything, then u turn everything, enforcements become encouragement to not to pay as usual...

Just look at local council road summonses... Majority of ktards won't pay because they knew they will get away with this.

Isn't IWK mandatory to be settled before the sale/transfer of property? Unlike cars, where outstanding local council summonses don't need to be settled.
