Any small 5g modem that can be powered via USB? need to put one small modem connected to car usb port for android player / car wifi purposes

End up getting tp link x50-5g instead of nokia fastmile 3, because reading through the thread some commenters mentioned nokia is unable to lock bands 😅
Plus with the lazada birthday sale discount the price is acceptable to me
And also there's warranty and it being Msia set - more peace of mind

Just wanna ask, the data plan you mention can be used for the 5g Modem freely? I remember coming across like telco carriers blacklisting modems for their cheaper Sim Card Offering?

Specifically, would you know that Umobile has this issue? Im based in Sabah, so currently i'm using their U Borneo 20 Plan for 2000gb. If you would know that it can be used with 5g Modem freely, i would then consider to get a 5g modem for my small office.

Also what would you recommend for a very budget 5g modem? Possible in the Rm200-rm300 range. i basically use it for Tapo and light browsing.

Thanks for the quick one. I'll try umobile Uborneo plan soon. I do have a ZTE MC888s from another umobile subscrition of mine. I'll try swapping out the sim to test, hopefully it would work and can would reducemy monthly cost.

I just googled on the Nokia Fast Mile 3. It mentions about "unlocked". Im assuming it means that it can be freely used with any telco sim yes?

my Lil bro just exchanged the modem to the newer huawei h153 yesterday. 2 days ago he call umobile helpline then yesterday courier deliver the Huawei modem & they collect back the stupid mc888s from him at the same time. he just complain that the modem is unstable & they arranged for the exchange straight away.

day 3 after receiving my x50-5g
can consistently achieve >600Mbps currently on speedtest compared to 40-50Mbps on my VN007+ previously
all in all, very happy with the purchase!
also the built-in wifi coverage is much wider compared to the VN007+; initially thought i needed to get a mesh range extender but seems like using the x50-5g by itself is good enough

Some will make it worst, some not doing anything at all, good ones are hard to find cause this thing is somewhat not legal to be sold to end user (grey area)

Tp link Deco X50 5g AX3000 still good now? I'm looking for modem to plug and play prepaid SIM card for hotspot use. Maybe umobile 5g, yes 5g or unifi bebas whatever is cheaper and good connection.

Lock band feature would be nice also.

What is the difference between deco x50 and archer ax3000?
