i wouldn't survive an accident driving a perodua despite it's fantastic FC
but the manufacturer and it's hardcore supporters kept insisting it's safe.....my eyes and hand isn't lying to me and i own a myvi myself

Nope, u should think realistically. Get a new engine with better tech which give much better FC. Take the Geely engine of NA engine from their bin abroad to here for base spec model other than X and S series. Last time even P2 offered their engine Sendayan made to P1 but they rejected it.

This. Should be no more national car hero instead better follow Thai automotive industry, look how much bigger volumes they can produce there for abroad market for Thai ade car. Remember proton even need gomen grant for R&D for fee billion ringgit, just a waste cz they can only sell majority at local only, ROI cant meet.

the engine perodua and toyota themselves used also ancient tech
their FC is good is all due to their light body

of course it's best if you can mate perodua engine into proton's body and handling...that's like the perfect car
but perfect car don't exist in this world...sadly
