I don't know what is the problem with geely engine.

But I have took limo to airport before grab getting popular, and all limo drivers complain about campro very problematic and not lasting.

replacing whole HU will affect car "smart" functionality? idk about latest Proton since I drive a Perodua

Perodua HU is a standalone so can just swap it out. Proton's Atlas one meanwhile is integrated with the car and not as straight forward to swap out the unit and replace with another as it's connected to the ECU and other functionality.
