sometimes its the middleman that did it, like when you getting package that include a phone from telco, your phone will preinstalled with some apps from telco, they even install 3rd party apps, like lazada, shopee, etc, i think they pay telco to do it.

If you can use 3rd party alternatives, then yes, you can use Xiaomi without having ads.
