Most B40 lepak at mall, hardly spend anything. Eat also cheap stuff.

Have you seen how T20 shop at mall? Easily 5 figures one round. That's just the retail stuff, haven't count the food or entertainment. One shopping trip for a T20 already help the mall more than 1 year of B40.

1. Ppl go mall to do shopping not charge car (entitled mindset)
2. Parking in mall insufficient space
3. If u want to charge your car do it at home due to 1 & 2 above

actually most m40 & b40 EV driver will feel that regardless BYD or any car. why would a T20 park in the mall to charge? im sure they have good charger at home and also can afford super fast charger at station. why tf they want to squeeze in mall to charge their ev car?

Don't even talk about pavillion KL, take normal malls like 1utama or midvalley. Prime spot are what brands? B40 brands? Rental there is highest, which means earning there has to be highest as well, otherwise cannot sustain. They have shops in queue waiting to take the spot. If the shop cannot hit a certain sales figure, they'll be kicked out for another shop.

You also think T20 shop 1 day only ah? They shop year round as well. Just because you're not aware of how the T20 spend, doesn't mean they don't.

I have never parked in an EV or OKU spot but I have at the Ladies Only spot.

So many empty spots so I went for it and F women are equals now, no? Men won't get robbed? 😁

I got friend working in one of the charge point operators. Their chargers in the mall really profit kaw2, already breakeven all the hardware and installation costs. According to them people dont mind even paying for idling fees despite their ev fully charged. As long as easy to get parking and close to entrance

Btw the fast charging machine alone cost over 50k for a basic ones, its the slow chargers that cost around 4-8k

Only reason i can see a ev need to charge in mall is if they drove long distance to mall like penang to pavilion kl

So if you are a mall owner and expect to earn from people, you can charge EV drivers extra parking fees first..

If EV and ICE owners charge differently, then ICE will not park at the EV charging place...

EDIT: Maybe ICE will get fare hike when parked on the EV charging slot.
