Just now I tried to book grab car to go to work because I was too lazy to take MRT today.
After trying multiple times to book grab car, all drivers were too far from my home. They asked me to cancel because it took them more than 15 minutes to reach my house.
After cancelling 4 times with reason "driver asked me to cancel", Grab banned me from making new booking for 24 hours.
i ended up taking in Drive lol.
Has Grab ever banned you?

I used to come from the south to kl midweek, weekly. Usually arrived at Tbs at 3-4++ am and fares to my destination would be 27 flat not inclusive of tolls. I usually tip at minimum the fare and max 50.

Ever since i tipped at min 100% fare i never seem to get any problem getting any ride at any time of day. I think drivers see your tipping history. Anyone else tip and dont have any problem getting rides?

Me also tip everytime, grab or grab food and when I need to shoot something to their CS my experience always come out satisfied. Perhaps tipping does help lol

Grab.= On unlucky days, say tambang RM5, pickup 6km, drop off 3.5km, Grab took RM1, driver bersih only RM4.

I used Indriver for the first time last year from KLIA 2 to Kajang. IIRC they don't have credit card payment like Grabpay for Grab. All cash but you can also use e-wallet but that depends on the driver.

Yep. Sometimes they do go out of their way to help you. One driver who had an unusual name tried to save me on tolls but took up 15 minutes more to reach destination. I would've honestly preferred the toll. But man some people really go out of their way to help you because they mirror themselves. 2.10 for duke i think wasnt going to cost me a breakfast but it could've with him. Here's to the great drivers out there.

I will never cancel my order whenever the driver asks me to cancel. If they are too lazy to drive down let them cancel themselves. They can just cancel on their end but they are to scared that their rating might drop

My first time taking grab was when I just about to arrive my dad's place via lrt. But when I reached my station, my phone went flat. Straign Grab banned me permanently.

Tumpang topic abit. Last weekend i called for Grab Car. The Grab Car accept already then stay at his location for more than 10-15mins without moving. I text him no reply, call him no answer. In the end i cannot wait anymore so i cancel and try to re-book. Once i re-book the same driver terus instantly accept my booking, then same not moving, not answering call and msg.

What are they trying to do actually? Why accept but then dont want to come?

You're forced to cancel.
Grab drivers who don't move 5-10 minutes after accepting our request do that to make us cancel the request.
They don't want to cancel because they'll be given penalty.
Same thing happened to me just now.
All my bookings were from grab drivers who were far from my location. They didn't want to pick me up so they asked me to cancel.

Yes, thats why I helped them to cancel.
Turned out grab banned me after cancelling 4 times.

I think it’s an automatic thing that detects potential fraud bookings. They do it for their drivers too I think where excessive cancellations from their side also invites some sort of ban.

How their system work? They need to accept it but without seeing the destination or how?

Grab needs to improve their system me thinks.

They can see the destination but it’s automatically assigned to them meaning they can’t choose what to accept.

From what I understand talking to one of my fren who drives the premium version, this is also some sort of fraud prevention because last time some drivers used to “cheat” grab when they were giving out quite a sum of incentives by fake booking themselves (passenger getting nearest driver used to be the norm). But somehow this doesn’t apply now coz no incentives are given to drivers. And they’ve never changed it unless of coz there’s no other driver around within the circle vicinity of say 4-5km.

Imagine 4-5km away meaning you could be at Sogo KL & the driver is coming from Pavilion KL

Anyone know how to contact Grab via phone or email? I can't chat with the customer service in app because my account suspended.

when banned can you use other parts of the app like grab food and others

or entire app has banned you?.... if they banned you and you got monei there and if permanent sus'ed... monei in the wallet gone lor... can't access

2024 banned already this Grab apps. Outside KL/ Selangor, use Maxim at much2 cheaper price and sure got ride with lovely driver. Quite shock to see the price.

in KL/ Selangor, rather use Air Asia ride apps.
