Just sharing if you plan to use your own router with Unifi Skyworth GN630V Modem router combo

Guys, last week I tried using Blacktubi to set my Unifi modem and router to bridge mode, but it messed up my whole network and internet. It worked for the first 12 hours then suddenly connected to the internet but no internet.

A TM technician came to fix it and told me that the Unifi Skyworth GN630V is set as a combo device, meaning it can’t be just switch it to modem. He said he needed to change the settings in the ONU to switch it to modem mode.
I asked for the password, but he said he couldn’t give it. After he adjusted some settings, everything worked perfectly again.
So, if you’re planning to use your own router, make sure to ask the technician to set the ONU to "combo router to modem mode" so your router can work properly.
Also, if you’re using an existing ONU, you can request Unifi’s technician to maintain it for you. Hope this helps!

Guys anyone know why my Skyworth GN630V why once awhile my phone the internet just disappear loading but stuck .

If I reconnect wifi it works fine. Is this the router issue or setting? Previously using asus router no such issue  but other devices like smart tv and my computer no issue

dns I always use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 that the same setting as my previous router I used for years

i just check my unifi app , there are a mesh router added on sep 2023, this is come with the contract swu 2.0 or 3.0 . If it is 2 year contract, then it will be end on sep 2025, may I know what will happen? Is it the price will get higher or it will remain? And do you guys know what is the latest promotion swu 4.0?

they provide change of ONU ? go request for it since your contract is renewed 24month.
then u can get the full speed 1gbps, or else it will only stuck at 940mbps +/-

its either 2. your device limitation or the cabinet OLT card
what onu u got there ? black dlink or black skyworth ?
only this 2 model support 2.5g connection
run the in-router speedtest
if the result reach or more than 1gbps meaning its your device issue
if the result also the same stuck at 940mbps, its the outdated OLT card at the cabinet. go report it

BUT, turn off TR-069 or whatever remote management thing if you can find them just in case TM push the wrong profile to you in future cause the MAC address not tied to your account.

you are wrong their main goal is to increase your price so next time you have to pay RM159. It's not saving you end up spending more. Always take the lowest offer .

so far ive help 2 of my aunt subs for the SWU5.0 ( 300mbps & 500mbps ) and 1 of my friend SWU5.0 ( 500mbps FSU 1gbps )
all done at TM Point Kepong without the need to subscribe to any unifi mobile plan simcard
