Hi all Sifu, could we remote login into combo box GN630V interface from outside? TIA  nod.gif

Never open your router to the general internet unless absolutely necessary. If you REALLY need access, setup a local VPN to do this

Can you get 2Gbps speed over a single Cat7 cable? Or do you have to split into 2 LAN ports (ie. aggregated offering)
*
Not possible unless he has the black D-Link ONR, will only be max of 940

I have the black Dlink ONR which has the 2.5Gbe WAN port. Will I be able to get 2gbps speed via a single Cat7 cable (10gbps) if my router and PC has 2.5Gb ethernet?
*
Yes, granted that you have a 2.5G router and/or 2.5G switch

Rough, electrician came today to fix second floor electricity, disconnected the whole house electric and lost my 3 weeks, nearly a month uptime with same IP (Almost 2T download/1.5T upload). Occasional slowdowns but never sluggish till unusable

118.x changed to 115.x now :/

1Gbps here and so far I don't think I've encountered any slowdowns even after like 2-3 IP changes for the past few days

Feels like all the slowdowns I've seen here is local Unifi GW going to overseas CDN before routing back to Shopee?

Around 45 mins of downtime ystd, checked unifi alerts and apparently Permas Jaya cable got cut at around this time, but their report is later than my UDM SE detection which is weird, only know this happened when I see my little brother WhatsApp me at that time laugh.gif user posted image

As far as I'm aware, I don't think the free speed upgrade is open to those with 1gbps and above.

All subscribers gets an upgrade to the next tier, 2Gbps subscriber gets a “token of appreciation”

As far as I’m aware, there has no news that any 1Gbps that have gotten the free upgrade to 2Gbps except the person you quoted

I also had the upgrade notification before but disappeared but I will wait and see if my upgrade will ever come (If not just complain to MCMC), 269 per month for 1Gbps is steep and I have the equipment to take advantage of 2Gbps aggregated without relying on combo box laugh.gif

I applied to transfer to Celcom Fibre last week. Unifi just callled me to offer:
1. 300Mbps, 24 month contract, 6 months free, RM119
2. 500Mbps, 24 months contract, 6 months free, RM139
3. 1Gbps, 24 months contract, 3 months free, RM159

The 300Mbps and 500Mbps price is perpetual. However, the 1Gbps price is only valid for 24 months, and after that, the package will be 500Mbps for RM159 from the 25th month onwards.

I chose the 500Mbps for RM139 as it’s more than enough for my use case at home and with 6 months free too. Thanks for reading biggrin.gif

Me looking at my RM269 1G contract laugh.gif

Time to bring this up with live chat and see

weird. Even with fiberhome u should be able to get 960 on lan.

940Mbps max over 1G LAN, and depends on OLT. So maybe his area OLT is like Huawei where their OMCI control quite stringent with universal ONT

Can only maybe escalate with TM and complain to have them do configuration on their side accordingly

I used to be on Alcatel OLT and could pull well in excess of >1020Mbps DL and 500-600Mbps UL but now at my new place under Huawei OLT, rarely pull over 960Mbps DL and 300-400Mbps UL

3 months after of upgraded 1Gbps speed changed black box back to Fiberhome modem this is what 90% of speeds get..
Looks like we won't get full 1Gbps speed from TM anyday. Just to drop 800mbps from package they increased upload speeds and selling as 1gbps plan

On live chat with TM now, apparently I've already been "upgraded" to 2Gbps from 1Gbps

Asked about CPE upgrade, no CPE upgrade provided, so on their side I'm still a user with 1G CPE and they expect my speedtest to pull over 1Gbps sweat.gif

PON stick with UDM SE doesn't let me pull pass through 930Mbps even with 6GHz, this agent is something else

Maybe I stand corrected, looks like it is indeed at 2G DL/1G UL now (Unable to breakthrough 1G DL due to my setup being back on the white ONR)

Already booked a technical trip tomorrow, let's see if they'll officially provide me with a black ONR rclxub.gif

If your plan is 1Gbps and you getting 800+ for upload then its good la, its supposed to be 500+ only leh.
*
Yeah but that’s the thing, I suspect that TM might have already upgraded my plan in their backend to allow me to get higher UL, but I can’t seem to pull anything higher than 1G on DL at all :/

I'm surprised I got upgraded from 800 Mbps straight to 2 Gbps.
I got symmetrical speed on a 1G port, the installer order shows my package as 2 Gbps.

I'm still connected to the same OLT port (same MAC address) and BNG.

Paying 189 right now

Meanwhile me with 1G on 269 whistling.gif
