Hmm the installer never gave me my voip password. Can ask from tm through phone? Do i need it to use the voip phone?
*
Not sure if can ask through phone. Try calling the TM contractor who came to install.

You don't need it to use your phone if your phone is already set up.

I got it just in case I wanted to go the GPON stick route.

Previously, I only had my PPPOE pwd.
So this time, I got the PLOAM or they call it ONU pwd and the VOIP pwd when the TM contractor came over.

Guys, usually which speedtest.net server you guys use to test a 1-2gbps connection?
For local, I find Digital Nasional Berhad, Cyberjaya the most stable.
Can usually get 930+Mbps.

But for me, the weird thing is I can't seem to get good speeds to Singtel, SG via Chrome browser based tests.
When, I use the CLI test to Singtel, the results are always much better.

These tests conducted within 1 min of each other.
Which is more accurate? 😁

What if i change to Archer BE9300? It come with 2.5G Wan port and 4 2.5G Lan ports

Looking at these:
Hmmm.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TpLink/comments/1d...r_archer_be550/

If I'm going to spend money on a router I'd probably look at Asus.

But yea, considering the bridging issues people are having with the Black 2.5G D-Link ONR.
I don't know man.

Perhaps, something like the RT-BE88U would be better albeit heaps more expensive?
If the bridging issue crops up, you can buy and plug in and GPON SFP into it like this guy?

I like the solution. Simple.
Will it work in MY/Unifi? Not 100% sure. 😁

anyone could advise how to login to ONU modem Huawei HG8240W (silver)? TQ.

IP, USERNAME AND PASSWORD

What are you trying to do?
I've been using this ONU for many many years and never needed to access it.

Afaik, the Web UI is at 192.168.100.1

So, your PC IP needs to be changed to say, 192.168.100.10

And the fiber cable must not be connected to the ONU.

See.

Just tested. Digi does block this site but with DOH on my phone, the site loads.

So, Digi doesn't/hasn't employed any hardcore blocking that cannot be circumvented?

If Digi can load with DOH, I don't see why it will not be the same with Unifi using DOH.

I already tried. As long as you encrypted your network with SSL over TLS or DOH. The webpage immediately not able to load.

Are you on private IP or public IP?

Perhaps, he can help?

>>nmap-7.95-setup.exe

QUOTE(kwss @ Sep 3 2024, 12:15 AM)
For people who has their DNS blocked, do you all mind to install nmap and run the following command?
CODE

nmap -sCV -Pn -p 53,443,853 <IP address of DNS server>

eg 1:
nmap -sCV -Pn -p 53,443,853 dns.google

eg 2:
nmap -sCV -Pn -p 53,443,853 9.9.9.9

Pharmianaga cartel. Go check the prices of your basic vitamin supplements on iHerb and compare with the daylight robbery you’re charged at your local pharmacy.]
It's not blocked for me.

Using naked non-DOH plain jane 8.8.8.8 can still access iherb no problem.

Are you in a location other Klang Valley?
Anyway for me, Kajang:
dig ml.iherb.com @8.8.8.8
returns
175.139.142.25

Legit IPs should be:
172.64.149.245
104.18.38.11
Ya, PJ, Klang Valley.

the authority is just dealing with non sophisticated internet users . if you are not using any of these dns , you are probably OK. the sophisticated internet users other DNS not seen in the image.
Let's hope they employ the 80/20 rule

Block 80% with only 20% effort πŸ‘ πŸ˜‰

Q9 seems fine. ~10ms.

But you shouldn't use nextdns, you should use PIHOLE + LINUX For the win!

Thanks! Configured dnscrypt-proxy to use dnscrypt and doh servers. TM's server doesn't appear in the list
If the simplest solution where I just replace 8888 with another #### DNS in my router/PC/devices stops working.

I'm thinking of using dnscrypt-proxy. Is it difficult to set up?

How's the ping to hijacked 8.8.8.8?
