Yeah, if you don't care about security, just port forward your router directly to the internet, but be prepared to people to constantly try and break in to your network. Generally good practices is to use VPN, and put it behind that to access. But unless absolutely necessary only that you expose your internal network, especially router

That's weird. My package was renamed from UniFi 800Mbps (Turbo Upgrade 2018) to Unifi Home 1Gbps - Pro Upgrade immediately after the free upgrade was done.

yes. This 1 is only for the 2gbps plan. U can try ask sometimes they will give u the new version. Members here  got it by asking the contractor.

My new Asus router, i set in PPPOE pw and user.

Weird no internet.

As far as I'm aware, I don't think the free speed upgrade is open to those with 1gbps and above.

All subscribers gets an upgrade to the next tier, 2Gbps subscriber gets a “token of appreciation”

As far as I’m aware, there has no news that any 1Gbps that have gotten the free upgrade to 2Gbps except the person you quoted

I also had the upgrade notification before but disappeared but I will wait and see if my upgrade will ever come (If not just complain to MCMC), 269 per month for 1Gbps is steep and I have the equipment to take advantage of 2Gbps aggregated without relying on combo box

I thought your upgrade was something like this 👇. User have been 800M + Ultimate plan. TM upgraded him from 800 do 2Gbps directly. That's why I asked how much you paid before change of plan
