I've also highlighted your suspicion and provided the IP of the affected server at HE in Tokyo. The rest is up to them. solarmystic, Moogle Stiltzkin, and 2 others liked this post

QUOTE(neekun @ Sep 19 2024, 08:01 AM) I am on rm189 1gbps after pro upgrade from 800mbps. No more contract. Got call from Unifi offering me same package same price but with 3 months free and 24 months contract. Was told current upgrade is not permanent in which I am not convince about her claim at all. Don't take it. You can get 1Gbps for RM159 currently with SWU4.0. 6 mouths free bill and 6 months free Disney+ hotstar. Caveat: after 24 months, speed will drop to 500mbps.Anyone got similar offer? That's because you upgraded when they called you while I went to TM Point and told them I wanna leave them and go with Maxis. That's when they counter-offered me other rates.

There is no need for a transfer ID as far as I'm concerned. But it wouldn't hurt if you have one.
I just told them that my contract is up, and Maxis had offered me RM159 for 1Gbps if I bundle along with my maxis post-paid lines. I posted this several pages previously in this thread so you might wanna search and have a look. My 1Gbps package comes with 6 months free internet and 6 months of free Disney+ hotstar (although it hasn't been activated yet and unifi is finding out why). The plan will revert back to 500mbps after 24 months. But by then I could just go through the same drill with them again and chances are I can end up with a better deal. The trick is not to agree with any deals they make before you come here and see what the rest of the unifi customers are being offered so that you won't receive the short end of the stick. In regards to the RM159 1Gbps package, not all CSO are aware of this. But it does exist. I was informed of this deal by another forum member here who had gotten the same deal before me. So you might need to ask the CSO to consult with their manager about this deal if they are oblivious about it. It may need prior approval from HQ, but high chance you will be offered. QUOTE(vkashin @ Sep 19 2024, 05:04 PM) yep. I did mention to the officer regarding 1Gbps package at RM159, unfortunately was not successful to change to this plan. Yes it's possible. If you really hardworking maybe you can try go cyberjaya branch. The forum member who got it before me went to this branch. The CSO there know about this package. Any idea if it's possible to ask about SWU at TM Point in KL/Klang Valley for subscriptions in Sarawak?😅 Why when the cso said not possible you never ask the cso to check with manager? Nvm all is not lost yet. vkashin and Moogle Stiltzkin liked this post

Well, yes there is a slow down, but latency to sg is still around the same for me after reposts of recovery yesterday. Ping to cloudflare is still the same.

I do not think I have the fortune to talk to their technical person again on the hotline again. The time I made a report on the tokyo issue coincided when the same CSO was reporting issues to the technical person.
I doubt that will happen again. But yes I'm having about 100ms increase in latency to starhub and equinix. Shopee will route via either one of these 2 exchange points. Though I have no idea why the latency have increased by 100ms++. This post has been edited by Orpheus1120: Sep 22 2024, 12:07 AM |

QUOTE(kwss @ Sep 21 2024, 11:52 PM) Here is what I discover about HE post broken router. I think the reason why they routed to europe instead of japan was due to the issue with the submarine line. Didn't someone or was it hellboy who said so?For a start the router has been fixed. The not so great news is that instead of announcing the prefix in JP again or somewhere near, TM announce them in Marseille, France since then. I can confirm people in Johor and those with prefix 147.158.0.0/18 are all having higher than usual latency as a result of this mis-routing. TM also has some broken BGP configuration, like announcing 10.252.0.0/24. Totally illegal. TM also has reacheability issue by wrongly announcing 42.190.128.0/18 161.139.144.0/20 180.74.48.0/21 218.208.59.0/24 2001:e68:2::/56 2401:3c00:200::8c/127 2401:3c00:200::8e/127 The /127 IPv6 announcement is also totally illegal as they are longer than the longest allowed prefix length of /48. Did all the senior in TM NOC resigned or something? So I don't think they misconfigured that part. Also I think TM is aware of the bogon prefixes. Why they haven't fixed it yet I have no idea. QUOTE(thankyou @ Sep 30 2024, 09:43 PM) Hi, today I got a call from TM for free upgrade to 1Gbps from current 800Mbps plan without contract. I've taken the offer and it comes with the "combo modem?" Yes you can but members have reported slowdown of bandwidth for unknown reason. May I know does the wifi combo modem can be disabled and set to bridge mode? I'm currently using Ubiquiti Edge router. If you have your own wifi ap, then you may wish to reuse your old modem and edge router instead and keep the combo modem as spare. |
