hii everyone.. if anyone here realise, i have been here asking for help regarding problems occured on my AP set 1 year, 2 months old white w850i.. last month, i got it fixed for 2 times.. first was ribbon faulty n second was said to be lcd or hardware problems.. waited for almost a month for those repairs.. n now, da same problems occur again.. some weird colourful colour appear on my lcd.. functions still working (it still can play songs as well as receive/make calls.. chargings, even da lights r ok.. only da colours (pixel or i dont know da term used) r distorted.. its all colourful n da screen hang.. but when i off n on back, it back to normal.. then when i slide up/down to key in code, it happens again.. da screen even moving.. sometimes da lights went shaky.. i really dont know wat to do wif tis phone.. i really like it n i handled it wif so much care since da first day i bought it.. not much drop.. only da upper pad r badly cracked (got holes!)

my parents asked me to sell it off.. how much do i get by selling spoil phone? (bought at 1300) n i have no idea wat phone should i buy next.. thinking of rebuying da same phone.. but it sounds useless.. but i really like n love tis cute white phone.. need help.. thank you soooooo much everyone willing to help.. appreciate it so much! (btw, my 12-months warranty by da AP dealer has ended) =) =)

where did u repair ur hp? at normal hp shop or SE service centre?

from my opinion,since u said that "then when i slide up/down to key in code, it happens again", i think that it might be ur ribbon. its just what i think..maybe others can clarify on it.

at da place where i bought it (normal ap shop) not SE service centre.. i c.. im thinking da same too.. ribbon faulty again.. its ok.. thx for ur respond! =) btw, how much is this phone cost (new original set)? still selling meh? or any other phone slightly same as this cuz i love da music quality n da quite big screen..^^

no problem dude..errm,i dont know whether there is any more stock for original set. but for an AP set,i think it will be selling around RM700-800. or maybe u can buy W580i, but it's a bit gurlish. W960i is nice,but it's a bit pricey compare to W850i.

anyway,why dun u try go to SE service centre itself and try ask them what's the exact problem. maybe they can fix it for u and of course,it will involve quite a lot of money laa..

thx.. yeah, tats why, ive been to SE shop but unfortunately, its no longer selling.. da new models r not really nice~ if buying AP, im scared will happen da same again.. haha.. oh, w580i dun have 3G, n da screen is slightly smaller.. n correct! looks girlish~ whoa! w960i is juz my dream.. i came across it b4 it was RM2500~ my budget is actually 1500 n below~ haha..^^ btw, even da w910i is not very nice feeling of holding compare to w850i.. i really need a good music phone..

ok.. i'll try n ask (so shy la since mine is AP set..) yeah.. n someone gave me opinions on DIY works.. do u think its gonna work? haiz.. so tired of tis phone actually, so many times spoil.. screen lah, ribbon lah~ wonder why sum ppl handle very bad n yet, their same phone still ok.. haha^^ thx for ur opinion btw..

its okay for u to ask the SE shop..nothing to worry/shy..

i dunno about the DIY things.if u dare enough to try,then just go on...must have confidence laa.. if not,just send to the SE shop..

wow,ur d-pad mine cracked also,but only on the upper side...still not that bad..very lazy to go change even though still under warranty.. ur screen also....i think that most probably because of the ribbon...i nvr encounter such problem before...so far so good~

ohh.. ya lo.. i dun think i dare to disassemble da phone, fix da probs n assemble it back.. haha.. i'll send it to se shop soon.. btw, do u have any idea of da rough cost to change LCD/ribbon, and da complete white housing..?? i wanted to make it brand-new again..

yeah.. my D-pad very very amazing huh.. =P ic.. tats y i was wondering y mine tat bad.. once i had da small crack, i tried my best not to use da down pad.. i use da up instead but still.. got hole there^^ whoa.. urs is original rite.. so, dun need to worry very much.. haha.. ribbon huh.. i think ure correct.. if its LCD faulty, da whole screen wont respond.. waa.. ure so lucky la.. me so unlucky.. after reaching its 1st birthday, so many problems occur.. haiz~ btw, thx^^

i think,the cost of changing the LCD itself will cost u hundreds...plus ribbons...and the housing...might reach around RM500 all together

ur housing still good...just go change the d-pad at SE shop...one of the forumer said,if AP set,SE shop charge around RM29. Dunno the current price...mine not yet reach its anniversary...hopefully this baby will last forever...hahaha

haaaahh..?? omg.. 500?? very near to new phone.. haha.. but my housing is actually turning yellow-ish.. but its ok.. yeah! dpad is da most important!^^ RM29 for wat? Dpad is it? or labour cost..? oh, it it last longer of forever, u r lucky!! =) haha..

haha.. ohh.. tats wat im looking for earlier!! flash themes!! theyre cool isnt it??? haha.. but i heard some says to install those kind of things, need to flash or something our phone.. i dun dare to do such things~ haha.. maybe u can try =)

the RM29 i think is for the D-pad (thats what one of the forumer said).

may i kno afte fixing the d-pad, will it affect the sensitivity of the d-pad?

i dont think so it will affect the d-pad if it is the ori d-pad...but if the ciplak d-pad,then it might be affected the sensitivity..btw,u can try ask those who has changed the d-pad..from what i read,no complaint about the sensitivity after changing the d-pad

been owning w850 for a long time dy...
thinking to let go but the price sucks...

Still got some market value...... RM 600 for that.... After it, the price will be much more terrible....

coz i scare jus lik changing joystick... even if u change to ori joystick, the joystick wil last for 2 to 3 months den become less sensitive... scare the same thing will happen to w850 too... may i kno who got change the d-pad be4? can give some opinion?

uurgghh...why wanna let go that baby?? it doesnt do enough to u?

btw,i love this w850i baby and the love become more and more after i flash the firmware...

ya... agree wit u... tis hp really looks stylish... tatz why i dun feel lik wanna sell it... giving it to my gf as least wont be so rugi...
