I do have one old Digi plan with RM1 validity just to maintain number (held by relative who is overseas, but under my name).

But my question was about backup line. Meaning constantly valid, can be switched to on my dual-sim phone when primary line got bad network. Currently my backup line is hotlink - RM30 for pakej perpaduan 6 months 30GB. If my main (YES 5G) line got bad reception in mall or car park just switch over temporarily. Normally 6 months won't finish all 30GB. But YES getting worse, and I'm planning to put my main line on Hotlink now, thought to use celcomdigi as backup line, they don't have equivalent plan for light use.

Maybe can just switch the main to celcomdigi instead. But no confidence in network yet since I haven't tested it out in my normal areas since.... 8 years ago when I last used a digi sim.

Yeah, with RM25 40GB - 60GB became a norm in Malaysia telco market. I do personally hope if telco in Malaysia could offer cheaper plan like RM15 with 10GB and Unlimited Call, but these do hurt their ARPU by a lot, so no choice but to stick to RM25 plan despite using around 5GB per month

Well, consider Unifi fibre as well, with the latest SWU5.0, it only costs RM90 + SST to get 500Mbps down. Telecommunication charges are definitely the few things that have been cheaper recently

It's best to check the sms when your line is first barred. That sms actually states the line termination date, though without saying so directly:

RM0 Celcomdigi: Incoming calls available until DD/MM/YYYY.

There should also be sms alerts starting one week before termination, though not advisable to rely on them.

There're sms before validity expires and more nearer to termination date. I'll have to check. I usually miss those sms. All I depend on is the validity date in the app.

No eSIM for prepaid. Celcom and Digi networks have almost all combined.

How to get it? Must walk in? I check online FAQ never mention eSIM available for prepaid.
