QUOTE(LostAndFound @ May 26 2025, 05:36 PM) I do have one old Digi plan with RM1 validity just to maintain number (held by relative who is overseas, but under my name). The current celcom Digi kuning plan also has the rm1 validity plan to subscribe to.But my question was about backup line. Meaning constantly valid, can be switched to on my dual-sim phone when primary line got bad network. Currently my backup line is hotlink - RM30 for pakej perpaduan 6 months 30GB. If my main (YES 5G) line got bad reception in mall or car park just switch over temporarily. Normally 6 months won't finish all 30GB. But YES getting worse, and I'm planning to put my main line on Hotlink now, thought to use celcomdigi as backup line, they don't have equivalent plan for light use. Maybe can just switch the main to celcomdigi instead. But no confidence in network yet since I haven't tested it out in my normal areas since.... 8 years ago when I last used a digi sim. |

QUOTE(jasontanky @ Jun 7 2025, 04:33 PM) Yeah, with RM25 40GB - 60GB became a norm in Malaysia telco market. I do personally hope if telco in Malaysia could offer cheaper plan like RM15 with 10GB and Unlimited Call, but these do hurt their ARPU by a lot, so no choice but to stick to RM25 plan despite using around 5GB per month if considering that rm25 is a known monthy cost for a mobile plan, and compare to 20 years ago the mobile plan, it is way cheaper. if considering inflatione etc. it is insane that mobile phone plan is the only thing that never increase in price and again drop in price. |

QUOTE(jasontanky @ Jun 8 2025, 10:50 AM) Well, consider Unifi fibre as well, with the latest SWU5.0, it only costs RM90 + SST to get 500Mbps down. Telecommunication charges are definitely the few things that have been cheaper recently yes, telecommunication fee is the only thing that gets cheaper over the years (opposite to inflation): So actually nowadays telcos they want to make profits from consumers should certainly be tougher than before. Not to mention that what they can earn money is almost fixed price and ppl unlikely to incur additional charges like extra call time or data that need to pay more to them also. |

QUOTE(JLA @ Jun 9 2025, 10:43 AM) mobile price war exactly. totally no reason for anyone to sign up postpaid now. since prepaid the most one only needs to pay rm25 nett, there is no SST.postpaid unlimited 68 from digi, umobile, maxis, unifi air 79 pepaid unlimited fun-z, bebas unlimited, yes unlimiited, digi unlimited RM1 umobile and yes always fight price vs quota postpaid one still need to pay extra 6% SST for nothing. |

QUOTE(dgboy @ Jun 27 2025, 09:13 PM) It's best to check the sms when your line is first barred. That sms actually states the line termination date, though without saying so directly: No. No message of barring even the first.RM0 Celcomdigi: Incoming calls available until DD/MM/YYYY. There should also be sms alerts starting one week before termination, though not advisable to rely on them. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jun 28 2025, 02:32 AM) There're sms before validity expires and more nearer to termination date. I'll have to check. I usually miss those sms. All I depend on is the validity date in the app. icic. ok. since i had confirmed from both the website as well as confirmed with the CSO via the whatsapp support chat that there is indeed 60 days of validity, and it will only terminate on 61 days. I will just activate the 1 day validity (rm1) on 51th day for 1st round now, and also to test to see if it really has reminder SMS about termination. for past few days, I am not very certain about the grace period, so I always reloaded rm5 or activated rm1 validty (after I learned this from bro here) after 30 days++ or earlier to prevent my no from terminating. |

now celcomdigi replaced the previous biru and kuning plan to these new NX and UX plans, does not look attractive especially with the funny weird 28 days validity. does it even offer esim for this?
previously celcomdigi kuning has esim, while biru does not have for prepaid. i am still on kuning. seems like legacy plan user can still remain on the existing package. like this i will never port out to keep this. now every 1 to 2 months i only spent rm1 to keep the line active which is damn good. one year at most spend rm7-8 to keep the line active for one year. https://soyacincau.com/2025/06/06/celcomdig...e-yellow-plans/ |

QUOTE(Piers @ Sep 12 2025, 08:04 AM) been doing this since only need the number for Whatsapp, can buy whatever package when needed for a period of time Ya correct. Learnt this trick from bro here as well. eg: rm14 ~ 2000GB for 9 days or best offer at BOS 🤙 It is the best and cheapest way to keep an active prepaid line and avoid the situation of having too much excess credits in the account.
