Hi everyone,
I’m planning to get a front-loading washing machine for my mum (and possibly a dryer in the future). She’s previously used Zanussi and Electrolux (both front-loading), but lately, I’ve noticed many people recommending LG front-loading machines. The problem is, I’m not sure which model to go for since the information on their official website seems incomplete. Any recommendations or advice? My parents and I live together, so I think a 10kg capacity should work well for us. Thanks in advance! |

turning off the switch while not using the washing machine can greater improve the lifespan of the electronic board itself. my 15 yo Panasonic washing machine electronic board spoilt 2 years ago. it survived at least 5 floods. but end of the day spoilt due to faulty board. luckily managed to get general substituted board from shopee. it's been running on the board for almost 2 years. ameensyd liked this post

Panasonic washing machine top loader here and it has been used close to 7 years now. Everything is fine but the spin function seems to be not very efficient since last year as the clothes are still wet with water dripping although they have been spun inside the washing machine. The speed of the spinning might have reduced, I'm not sure.
Has anyone experienced this same issue whereby the clothes are still wet after the washing is all done by the washing machine? It may not be soaking wet but if you twist the clothes with your bare hands you will see water dripping from the clothes, depending on the material of the fabric. Some fabric doesn't retain water while some fabric especially thicker cotton will retain water. |

For heavy clothing, one can do a separate 2nd spin, if it feels wet. This post has been edited by mini orchard: Jul 30 2025, 05:16 PM ryder_78 liked this post

Yes, that may be one of the reasons. overloading with too much clothes, and mixing thick jeans and cotton shirts with thinner fabric clothes. Will try spinning the 2nd or 3rd time to see if it works. Thanks.Overloading can also affects drying spin esp towels, jeans. For heavy clothing, one can do a separate 2nd spin, if it feels wet. |
