Got mine, better than Vios and City Spec/Performance wise.

Engine noise is loud, for real, but inside cabin NVH is good.

Highway going smooth 180+ is easy.

Interior wise is subjective, but I do like minimalistic design Proton has.

Seat is comfy and spacious enough.

Boot space + 1, really dont have to worry travelling and bringing more baggage.

At this price range, this is probably the best value car.

can remap, can use throttle controller.

btw, this s70 pickup is the best for b segment. if u want more, u need to topup a lot bro. and I wonder, what car that u bought after cancel this s70.

is Proton s70 fuel consumption good?

Pickup can mean few things. Pickup from traffic light and stop and go traffic S70 is slower than City for sure. Turbo lag and the gearbox they tune to be super slow downshift. You can see in YouTube drag race, City always launch first 50-100m.

Why not important, for KL driver pickup from standstill is more important for rush hour driving. Who in KL can drive mid speed or high speed? That's what people mean by pickup, Myvi obviously slower than Persona in highway speed but in city driving people prefer Myvi.

remap will solve this problem bro. stock ecu indeed sluggish. and turbo got so much potential can mod. although I dont really recommend to drive fast in town. but, can try remap. can alter power delivery.

Just bear in mind remap voids warranty so don’t cry whole kampung and viral socmed if kena rejected. Latest car already got indicator when the Ecu was flashed so they know if it was mapped or not compare to many years ago which they can only suspect remap was done if your turbo or ignition was altered which a quick fix to load back original map.

But yea remap will bring a noticibale difference and likely cure lag or make the power delivery more linear but does not eliminate lag completely because it’s still mechanical. Deswai they use vgt turbo or twin turbo ( one small one big to address lag)

notice this gap at driver side window, compare to other window this one seems to be bigger then others and i notice wind notice when driving around 100. anyone can confirm with their car ?

From my reading, if the owner change the ATF every 20k -30k km as opposed by Proton 1st change at 60k km, the gb will run ok. My officemate claimed the GB torque converter under warranty 2 times, then changed ATF at shorter duration, ok back.

Summary, just buy CKD with DCT gb. Own usage, 53k km still smooth.
