See you challenged our brother, the next mod you'll see is a sun roof with reverse mirror LCD coupled with a reading light and a SAFC. ooOooppps... exposed brother ayell's plan? haha, surely i'm anticipating for all the upcoming upgrades.

It's called a hood-scoop. And yes, it's done to allow more airflow into the engine.
I've been contemplating several configurations for my ride, but in the end....

yeah, you have to make sure that water doesn't wet the component and provide cool fresh air to the air intake. most of the time, scoops are designed for intercooler installed on the top as they will suffer less damage from incoming debris.

Cut it across the triangle shape as u mentioned, cut towards front on the left and right of the first cross cut, push it down, weld small plate to cover the gap of the left and right cut and cement it. Sorry, so difficult to describe in english tongue.gif Hope you understand what i'm trying to say.

Added on January 4, 2008, 2:14 pmInside, I just add a plate in front of my K&N open pod filter to prevent water from going into my carburetor. smile.gif
