My mom din use her ipad mini 2 , been keeping in the drawer for few years.

I take over now. But stuck in ios 12.5.
I used ipad to read pdf file most of the time. The okd version of the book app seem less in few function i want. Go to app store while most fo the app need ios 13 and above.
Shall i jailbreak and upgrade it to ios 13 or higher? Will ipad become a brick?

even you jailbreak, how you can make it run IOS 13 and above? you change CPU also?

Mini 2, iOS 12 is the last version you can go to. Jailbreak can allow you access to other app stores, maybe can get the app with the features you want, but cannot upgrade iOS ad.

No idea really. I pun androidfag but I played with iPad Mini 2 jailbreaking during pandemic.

U could. But for wat. Useless dy the ipad. Many apps now need update firmware. Unless u plan to use youtube or netflix only.

I only use the ios build in book app, and also the browser for surfing information.
The rest i dint touch at all.
