PSA - You can request to reduce your TNB Deposit

They charged my RM900 deposit for my condo unit. However my actual monthly usage is just RM25 - RM30. I managed to get them to reduce to RM100. The Electricity Supply Act allows TNB to collect a deposit of (2) months of the customer’s estimated electricity usage. This amount is calculated based on the average 6 months of customer's electricity usage.
Just need to write a letter and send it via an email. Whole process takes a couple of weeks if you know what to do. Required documents:
