QUOTE(JohnLai @ Sep 3 2024, 10:07 PM) Took several days to full tank whole packs. The latest EVE through Alibaba via DPP? Almost impossible to ship battery now to East Malaysia currently. The initial Sinopoly pack is not presentable. The second and third EVE LF280K are "partially" presentable (experiment with spring compression) The final EVE MB31 is perfected? Recently I reshuffled the battery pack between houses. Trust me, those 16cells....very heavy..... I have one set of BatteroTech 280Ah pack for Growatt SPF5000ES ......and another Sinopoly 200AH (with a lot of issue on this) set for Growatt SPF3000...... Those battery packs are too costly. Sinopoly pack is RM3500 EVE LF280K V3 costs RM 6500 each set The latest EVE MB31 cost RM 8000. Count the total cost of the battery pack..... Still have lot of solar panels in use....and in store room.... |

QUOTE(Jason @ Sep 5 2024, 09:52 PM) Same side. No shading whatsoever, terrace house all level. I will ask them how they wired the panels later. Do you have the panels drawing?[attachmentid=11502237] I check morning, noon, evening. MPPT1 is always higher than MPPT2 in terms of voltage, amps will be close. |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Sep 24 2024, 08:20 PM) NEM does have option for batteries. As for off grid with batteries it's a grey area. So many people posted on FB DIY solar group with no issues whatsoever.QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Sep 24 2024, 08:22 PM) Can if your daytime usage is extremely high but majority of those Selco users are using batteries. This post has been edited by adamw: Sep 24 2024, 08:38 PM |

QUOTE(mercury99 @ Sep 26 2024, 05:01 PM) Hi, yes that happens when the Hoymiles micro inverter's temperature goes beyond 86C and the micro inverter throttles performance by means of cutting back down on output power. Happened to mine often. You can view the micro inverter temperature from the website below, just login as usual. I've reached out to Pathgreen on this many times, but they're just silent on this, never acknowledging this issue. On our end, I'm not sure what can be done to improve the heat dissipation of the micro inverter unit. PM me for a way to maybe solve this.https://global.hoymiles.com/platform/login |

QUOTE(netflix2019 @ Sep 29 2024, 11:44 AM) Means bigger wattage is because bigger panel? Not improved efficiency? So misleading. You can see only increase 200mm on width so if his inverter can take the power and if his limited roof space can allowed this increased, why not?Should have numbers for area x wattage as standard. |

QUOTE(bee88 @ Sep 29 2024, 03:39 PM) Eh. Every panel extra 20cm la. Even by extra 10cm also can be a problem. 5 panels means extra 1 meter already. Nowadays most them don't bother to come, simply quote only. Business too good due to Solaris.I have come across problem with very small roof thst can’t fit any higher. Usually the solar company will come and measure one lah. Not like the suka suka offer. Especially on small roof. But of course some suka suka offer also lah. |

QUOTE(Cavino @ Sep 30 2024, 01:20 PM) Actually I corner lot supposedly got bigger roof compared to the middle terrace but the roof design with so many corner and triangle shape thus instead of putting straight rows of panels, i have to split it up...2 over here inside this triangle spaced roof, 1 over there, 3 more over here... First of all, you already signed the contract, right? Many tier 1 650-700W is available but installer don't like it much due to difficulty in handling it especially when you are on a roof top. So instead of roof with space with at least 20 panels, mine stupid old style roof design can only fit 11 already max out. Forced to use my car porch roof to add more that is originally not in the plan. Yes, the space is very limited thus bigger size panels will reduced the number of panels I can put in aka in 1 part of roof, we try to squeeze in 4 panels but if size if bigger, maybe only 2-3 panels. That is why I asking of consumer (not commercial), heard got 700-750KW panels, if almost similar size then can use same number of panels to generate higher capacity. I targeted 22-23 panels for 13k++ Kwh..but now maxed out at 10+ Kwh and that is pushing limits on all available roof space. In practically installation later, not 100% sure if need to remove another panel or 2 if real installation cannot fit. So heard some relative mentioned now got 700-750Kw per panel. 590 Jinko and 610 Ja solar is outdated... So I ask here got anyone hear anything about 700kw panels (at least on tier 1 graded panels)? |
