Non citizens have the longest life expectancy in Malaysia because they retire and live like kings over here with their savings in strong currency denomination.

Say thank you to weak Ringgit and peasants who in their entire life earn in MYR and struggle through racist tongkat policies getting no where had their life shortened.

How Much Longer Do Fruit and Veggie Eaters Live?

According to research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, “Subjects who consumed five fruits and vegetables a day lived an extra three years compared to their non-plant-eating counterparts.”

This table clearly shows relationship between affluence and life span. Foreigner in this context, I am assuming are expats who have much higher financial standing and access to better standards of living in their earlier part of life and have great medical benefits here. Indians on the other hand are at the lower spectrum of income and much reduced access to good medical facilities, and also poor education levels, leading to lack of health awareness, hence lower life span.

In short discriminatory policies may be main cause of Indian community’s lower life span. If this is the case, it is an atrocity committed by those in power.

That is true but don't forgot that Indians have genetic predisposition to become obese too. Indians are more prone to insulin resistance and diabetes than anyone else.

And guess what's the leading causes of death for humans? Heart diseases

I believe what they meant by 2023, is not people born in 2023, but rather people who died in 2023, and their average age when they died.

Edit: Oh crap, I was the one who was blur, now is only Sep 2023.

Here I google 1 for you : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3708105/

A multiethnic cohort of 59,824 subjects living in Ontario, Canada found that, for the equivalent incidence of diabetes at a BMI of 30 kg/m2 in white subjects, the BMI was 24 kg/m2 in South Asians and 25 kg/m2 in Chinese subjects. The study concluded that Chinese subjects developed diabetes at a higher rate, at an earlier age, and at lower ranges of BMI compared with Caucasians

Interesting. I've always assumed the high rate of cardiovascular diseases amongst South Asians (Indians) are mainly attributed to their high insulin resistance. I guess I made the correlation wrongly.

I do know that Indians have always high rate of cardiovascular diseases. Perhaps it is solely due to their diet? Or probably there's something else that I'm not aware of. It's likely a combination of multiple things though.

Source -> https://heart.bmj.com/content/108/4/251 (Indians highest cardiovascular diseases and East Asians lowest)

Source -> https://stanfordhealthcare.org/medical-clin...0South%20Asians. (Indians 4x likelier than average in California to develop cardiovascular diseases)

In my very humble opinion, its the diet.

I eat with my Indian friends, they can easily eat 2x what I eat one. Just rice alone, Indian can tapau Chinese easily. Don't talk anything else first, just look at the average Malaysian Indian and average Malaysian Chinese rice intake.

Minus 5 years for taking the joys out of living.

Those who eat a lot of "happy food" not only have shorter lifespan but also more pains and suffering in their old age.

Many of these people who eat food for enjoyment end up being over weight obese, have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol.

When above 60 they have difficulty to walk, need walking stick, eventually need wheelchair. No strength, heart weak, no energy, always need medicine.

You think they are enjoying life?

Those who eat a long term healthy diet and maintain good weight, do frequent exercises not only lives longer but can have less pains and suffering in their old age.

Chinese are more concerned with health;
Malays are more concerned with sexual health;
Indians are more concerned with drinking bear...

BEAR! RAWR!

On a more serious note, food could be the main cause. How much sugar each race consume. As for non-citizen, I believe those were expats or MM2H permit holders and generally they are more conscious about sugar intake.

Im over 60 being eating nasi kandar banjir, CKT, deep fried sotong etc past 4 decades. Yearly blood test ok incl cholesterol levels. Weekly moderate exercise might have countered my poor diet.
