Bro,

How much this one? There one retailer trying to push this box to me at RM 980. Good price kah?
I Saw this unit being reviewed in the MPC club. Rated higher than HDX1000.

Man, you are hilarious!!  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

Actually, downmix means the DTS is converted, usually to stereo analog, so the audio can then be played back directly on the TV.

Passthru means the the DTS signal is literally passed thru the HDMI connection into the AV decoder. In this case, no stereo downmixing is done. Most of the NMT's do passthru, so far only the A-110 (and the Tvix boxes) do downmix.

thnx bro... how bout Dolby Digital? does it required downmix to play without AVR? from reading nfo of 720p and 1080p files i see most encoded in either DTS or AC-3 .. AC-3 is dolby digital rite but y in the nfo it says AC3 DTS??. and if i mux the mkv files to m2ts. PS3 only shows Dolby Digital never DTS.. hmm.gif

if you convert/remux to M2ts, you have to make the DTS to DD also, cos PS3 can't play  (not at current firmware) movie files with DTS (only physical optical discs like DVD can playback with DTS)..
*
errr... how bro? use tsmuxer can? or i need other software.. hmm.gif

why do you want to buy r2200.. it doesn't state that u can play mkv files...
** R2200 TViX PVR is able to playback HD recorded files (TP and TS) with 1080i resolution and existent various files. (It doesn't support H.264 and MKV files)
*
R2200 TViX can install HDD? if not better go for WDTV.

Am tempted to get another 6500... Was at LY the other day, and saw there was a promotion. Add RM100 to the price of the 6500 and get a 1TB HD bundled in. That seems pretty good. My current box is in the bedroom, a 2nd box would fit in my living room.

Only thing is... I've already built a HTPC (still working on the software part to get it working).

wah wanna get 2nd unit er bro...

so the promotion still there? Czone is it? i might go tomorrow or friday..

I was there at Czone on Sat, and was informed about the promotion then. Dunno if it's still on. Very tempting for me, but I already spent $$$ on my HTPC so I figure I might as well stick with the project. Spent way too much $$ on my rigs lately.

thanx bro, will try to call them tomorrow.. rclxms.gif

saw ur siggy, u got way too much HDD space bro..n very nice collection of rigs notworthy.gif
