QUOTE(Traveler @ Mar 25 2009, 11:06 AM) Recently bought a 6500A unit and plugged in a MPEG-filled 320GB to try it out in my bedroom. Works good and enjoying so far. This weekend, I will swap the 320GB HD out and replace it with a 1.5TB HD. Have hooked it up to my home LAN (GbE) and had some problems accessing some of the shared folders on my main rig, but I think that could be due to lack of clear instructions and some problems with my main rig. Check back previous post from denhock NAS sifu. He did post some instruction how to for snology. Is anyone using the 6500A to access shared folders on NAS boxes? I have a Synology DS408 which I want to use to stream my AV files all over my home, and would like to know success/failure stories. Thanks... If this works really well, I may buy a couple more units for my living room and my parents' house. |

Don't use Dvico to copy from ext HDD. (Which you ext hook up to dvico and use the remote to copy) It will take forever to copy.
Just connect the dvico to PC and copy. |

QUOTE(zdan @ Apr 14 2009, 11:41 PM) I advise you to think twice before buy this cheap NAS. Or try to find more feedback and review. I even have one below rm200 NAS made in china. The firmware suck. They keep on update but after more than 5 month, the firmware still suck and some worst than before. I lost count how many firmware they have sent to me. Now I didn't bother to upgrade and use it as ext HDD. The most problematic side is the BT and unstable running. Good luck. |

I m collecting ts format. All are 1080p and big file. Some can till 40gb. It can stress my dvico player limit to play this ts file (5500HD). As some won't get smooth play.
