My parent house suddenly lost public IP.
Logged in account and check, found out service start date became 18 October 2023.
Plan speed still same 30 Mbps no upgrade.
Looks like my parent house account got messed up.

yes can watch, i reconfigure my fiberhome lan port 3 with vlan tagging ,then just plug back from the old hypp tv box to it.

by default the lan port 3 of fiberhome is locked and can't be utilised .

For Win 11 ISO, speed seems to be capped at 300Mbps server side.


For Sonoma ipsw, no problem getting full 800Mbps.

btw, make sure your M and your b and your B are correct. Otherwise it can be very confusing. For example:

"My package is 500mbps and i assume i should get download speed around 50 to 60 Mb/s" is a very pessimistic assumption.

If you are on 500mbps, you should be getting 500 to 600 Mb/s.

i suspect the fat, is it due to the upgrade recently, that causes the bandwidth shared among the residents around the area increase thus it causes high latency and cannot attain the maximum speed?

my parents' house is at the single storey area (more than 32 years+ of residence area) that has too many units in a row.

i seriously doubt that it is the wifi router's prob as it is wifi 5, and the router was replaced by tm less than 5 years ago or around there. previously when at 30Mbps speed, the latency and maximum speed has no issue at all...

and the ip address given is now 100.x.x.x. public ip, previously cgNAT. so i supposed it is indeed upgraded to 100Mbps already just cannot attain maximum speed i guess since the upload speed is also above 50Mbps now?
if it cannot hit 300Mbps/500Mbps understandable. but cannot hit even 100Mbps i seriously doubt so man.
100Mbps had been around for so long and the wifi router was given by tm since 5 years ago at most only.

Nah i've the same DIR842 C2 router as westlife does (going on 5 years old now!), and just got upgraded to 300Mbps, even on my cheap af Oppo phone with 5GHz (connected at only 433Mbps to the router) i can still reach over 200 Mbps at the fast.com speedtest site using 5GHz wifi. Something is wrong on his end that's for sure, maybe the ONU or the router itself is faulty.

How about deco m4 or m5, I feel like selling m4 X2 but seeing the market price of TM wifi6 with mesh I might have to low ball a bit (currently selling for rm100 twin kit used)
