This for non-Unifi, all POTS will be on Maxis Router for example.
most RTL960x SoC don't have POTS module, need to addon like D-Link did

Hopefully 2024 is the rollout date for this sweat.gif

You can try to restart router to force PPPoE to get another IP, your current outward facing IP might be congested/shadow banned

My parent house suddenly lost public IP.
Logged in account and check, found out service start date became 18 October 2023.
Plan speed still same 30 Mbps no upgrade.
Looks like my parent house account got messed up.
*
30Mbps has been under CGNAT for over a year or two now. TM probably just caught up with refreshing 30/50/100Mbps plan to be under CGNAT.

Looks like my main D-Link ONU met its demise today

Tried the usual “have you tried turning it on and off again”

PPPoE not dialing up and bridge is still down after multiple restarts

Swapped it out with another unit they gave as mesh, and everything is back up again, copied over PLOAM pass, VoIP credentials and everything is fine and dandy and set it back to bridge mode

Guess I should tell TM for them to replace another unit for me? tongue.gif

First time seeing LOS when fiber is unplugged, pretty sure normally when unplugged PON will just not light up and LOS shouldn’t light up as well, suspecting that the optical part got burnt out for some reason? :/

Nope, my ONR was just crapping the bed, it’s fine now with a replacement ONR

Gotta contact TM later to see what their assessment is

yes can watch, i reconfigure my fiberhome lan port 3 with vlan tagging ,then just plug back from the old hypp tv box to it.

by default the lan port 3 of fiberhome is locked and can't be utilised .

EDIT: channel screenshot that is available on my non unifi tv swu 3.0 package

For Win 11 ISO, speed seems to be capped at 300Mbps server side.

user posted image
For Sonoma ipsw, no problem getting full 800Mbps.

Computer fast enough? What router? Wifi or wired?

btw, make sure your M and your b and your B are correct. Otherwise it can be very confusing. For example:

"My package is 500mbps and i assume i should get download speed around 50 to 60 Mb/s" is a very pessimistic assumption.

If you are on 500mbps, you should be getting 500 to 600 Mb/s.

This proof that eap613 more superior than fiberhome when transmit 5ghz but with sacrification of higher price

As the Chinese saying goes, you get what you paid for.

Not surprised when a proper AP performs better than a router that comes for free with your ISP.

EAP670 here covering two storeys.

Note I have torrents running in the background, so speeds is a bit slower of my 1Gbps plan

are you using full omada solution?

what is your layman take - better than standard upscale mesh routers? (e.g. TPLink Deco XE75 for example.. or ASUS AiMesh tri-band router)

I don't even know if my question is relevant, sorry if it's not.
*
Not full, only AP, switches is 1GBe + 10GBe from China, main router is OPNSense

If you need really fine control, OMADA is the way to go, but if you don’t need anything too crazy, TP-Link’s Decos are a lot more economical, get the Deco with PoE and you can save quite a bit.

I got one of the EAP670 for about 750 and another one for about 600 when it’s on sale.

The X50 PoE 2 pack can be bought for about the price of 1 EAP670 for context. Sure it’s only AX3000 rather than AX5400 but unless you’re talking about having 10GBe network, doesn’t really matter

Z Fold 3 5G, I’ve tested with S21/iPhone 15 Pro as well, all manage to hit 900+ if network is quiet on my EAP670s

Single core CPU - Qualcomm Atheros QCA9563, considering its age, maybe that's the expected performance tbh

i suspect the fat, is it due to the upgrade recently, that causes the bandwidth shared among the residents around the area increase thus it causes high latency and cannot attain the maximum speed?

my parents' house is at the single storey area (more than 32 years+ of residence area) that has too many units in a row.

i seriously doubt that it is the wifi router's prob as it is wifi 5, and the router was replaced by tm less than 5 years ago or around there. previously when at 30Mbps speed, the latency and maximum speed has no issue at all...

and the ip address given is now 100.x.x.x. public ip, previously cgNAT. so i supposed it is indeed upgraded to 100Mbps already just cannot attain maximum speed i guess since the upload speed is also above 50Mbps now?
if it cannot hit 300Mbps/500Mbps understandable. but cannot hit even 100Mbps i seriously doubt so man.
100Mbps had been around for so long and the wifi router was given by tm since 5 years ago at most only.

100.x is CGNAT, then try redialing PPPoE to get a new IP

And the flash might have deteriorated over the years causing some performance issues, get another router you have around and try to see if it'll work

Nah i've the same DIR842 C2 router as westlife does (going on 5 years old now!), and just got upgraded to 300Mbps, even on my cheap af Oppo phone with 5GHz (connected at only 433Mbps to the router) i can still reach over 200 Mbps at the fast.com speedtest site using 5GHz wifi. Something is wrong on his end that's for sure, maybe the ONU or the router itself is faulty.

Hm then it might be PON/fibre signal then, as the loaded latency certainly doesn’t look normal even for CGNAT plans

What can I use them for?

Basically paperweight, unless you're planning to get into IoT/Home Automation, otherwise they can serve as E Waste when you move or do a yearly cleanup whistling.gif Used routers really aren't easily sold right now unless it's something super special or hard to find.

Can attest to this as I have multiple router listed as a lots, AC1200, AC2600, AX1800 all listed for a nett price of RM100 and still no one is interested nod.gif

How about deco m4 or m5, I feel like selling m4 X2 but seeing the market price of TM wifi6 with mesh I might have to low ball a bit (currently selling for rm100 twin kit used)
*
Deco is quite well sought after surprisingly enough.

If you don’t mind the low price, you can probably list it for that price or a little bit higher and there will most likely be a buyer
