Actually China already got a few model of 2.5G BTU or ONR,but TM just didn't use those and just cooperate with Dlink for the ONR...
Dlink must be giving a super low price for TM in order to supplies those ONR...
And we are the guinea pig for the first public release consumer grade ONR by Dlink...

Why don't just change to Time?

I think they just need to replace the plan name and internal database for your guys.
Like "SWU 3.0 500mbps 2023 turbo" something else.

UnifiTV contract will also renew right?

You already get 1/2gbps upgrade?
The problem is not on router,is on the BTU/ONR/ONT.
They want to replace the current BTU with the new one..

Same with yours- I-240G-T .
But mine not sure why landline call will having sudden drop call issue.
Like call for 10-30mins,and suddenly bibi-bibi and phone call drop. need to re-call again to continue calling...

hAP AX2 better for futureproof incase they want to play around with those routing function or docker.

RB750Gr3 should be around RM300+-.
I bought if few year ago with that price.

If SWU3.0 500mb later upgrade to 1G,and 800mbps only free upgrade to 1G,i will shoot TM everyday until they upgrade us to 2G

My opinion: As long as we still get upgrade at least 1G and reasonable price compare with swu3.0,then i am okay,since we will still having ultimate unifitv plan,which will still more valuable compare with swu3.0 now.
And the most upgrade point with 1G is 500mbps of upload speed,where the download speed upgrade is not significant but still better than nothing lah...

IF TM want to generate a new plan like 1.5G for 800mbps upgrade ,i also okay about that.
2G is more like a dream at current stage. Just don't keep so big hope on it. and no big disappointment at the end.

Do you mind to share your Routeros queue setting for unifi up and down speed on your main router?

I am using fq_codel for up and down but i think my setting not good enough,would like to find someone with better setting to try.

You mean fasttrack disabled?
I having bufferbloat issue when hitting max speed,and will having packet lost and double latency compare with normal speed usage.

Speedtest and cmd ping at the same time.
Mine: Without queue-when the speedtest hit the max speed,the next second will be packet lost,and after that latency spikes to double of normal latency.

But when i using fq_codel with fasttrack with abit of reduced speed limit,the worst case will be speedtest at max limit speed,and only 1second of latency spikes without packet lost in whole speedtest.

Maybe you will be having the "gift" faster then us(800mbps upgrade-2024).

I think except of Wifi function. (I think they not really focus on it,and they just need to put in more effort on it,just give them another 1-2 years,it should be the okay for 99% of time.
Others is work well,and more improvement every few months.

Wireguard and Zerotier and Docker all can be setup in ARM mikrotik router,overall similar to Synology Nas and Apple device.

Normally i just update immediately when i see the beta version came up.
I have no problem with mikrotik since i get the mikrotik router in 2018 except the cpu power is not enough for vpn tunnel. (Which is my problem for not buying the upper grade router - CCR series)

I don't really trust TP-Link since 10years ago,almost 75% of their router like crap one,got bug or security issue also don't care.

I not sure now the Deco one,okay or not.
But even China people saying their TP-Link multi-hundred price model also not stable enough. and TP-Link might change the chips with worse and cheaper one with keeping the same price for sale.

True story,TM did have offer very early customer with multiple time of upgrade promotion in past 15years.
+RM10 and contract renew for upper level speed upgrade.

And free 6 month fee also. (RM600+ saved)

So far didn't see anyone on 500m upgrade to 800m.
