I did walk in to another TM Point at Pavilion, the guy told me that this can only be done at the specific TM Point outlet at Menara TM, Muzium, Pandah Indah, Setapack, Kepong, Damasara Utama, Kajang, Cyberjaya, Taipan, Shah Alam, Banting & also IOI City mall. Went to the one nearer to me at Taipan USJ but system down which is really ...sigh..Any of you got it through TM dealer or can it be done via phone or something?

1. 100mbps
2. 300mbps
*
If not mistaken, 100mbps free 3 months. 300mbps rm129 free 6 months or free TV.

maxis tries to fight back?
But totally no competitive advantage.

*
For transfer need to go through agent to get extra perks. Same applies to Unifi.

sheeesh... "am i using public ip?"

i really facepalm.
how to answer once and for all eternity aaa?

boys and girl, technically, EVERY ONE is required to use public IP to be on the internet.

you are here, so YES, you are using public IP. rolleyes

--

the correct question you should be asking is, "is my PPPoE router assigned a public IPv4 address? or assigned a private CGNAT address?"

please check what address is in effect on your own router's WAN interface.
*
Mostly if people have to ask this question, it means they do not need public IPV4 for their PPPoE.

QUOTE(zioburosky13 @ Oct 28 2023, 08:52 AM)
It is also depend on who provide the better after sales service.
I had heard Maxis's technical service is lousy here compared to Unifi.
*
This very much depend on the TM tech at your area. Although most of the time, this line is used to persuade people from porting out to other provider.

Is there SWU 3.0 300 Mbps? How much is it?

I was told at Unifi Centre only SWU 3.0 500 Mbps upgrade to 800 Mbps for 1 year with 2 free routers.

I am currently on RM99 50 Mbps. Just got fibre connected on Friday. I would prefer SWU 3.0 at 300 Mbps if it is the same price of RM99.
*
Your rm99 plan not eligible for free upgrade?

QUOTE(Gabriel03 @ Nov 7 2023, 03:38 PM)
I'm going to sign up to Internet Broadband under my name. Looking only for the cheapest, which 100 mbps at RM 89/month.

While the pricing is the same, Maxis offer a Wifi6 router while Unifi only offer Wifi5 router. Last time, unifi used to offer one month free trial period but it was scrapped when they changed the package scheme.

Since there is a lot of deals made at TM Point (for existing users with SWU), which are not available on the website, anyone has any experience in getting a better unpublished offer at TM Point?

If not, any other pros of choosing Unifi over Maxis besides the fact that Maxis is riding on TM infrastructure?
*
I personally don't see any real advantage, both are the same.

Transferring in from other telco, do we have to tell the old telco that the port out is successfully and they should terminate the service?

My unifi has been running for 9 days and yet the old service still up.... milking me for 1 last time?
*
Usually will terminate by itself after around 2 weeks. I transfer out from Unifi last time and it took 10 days for Unifi to terminate after my Digi fibre installed.

Can’t we complain to MCMC? They don’t have the right to hold us for 30days with charge on us because of their lousy service and delay right?

Actually if you go to Tmpoint can straight away terminate.

I think hard to say, but definitely saw someone posted that they manage to terminate on the spot at Tmpoint. Maybe things have change.

QUOTE(AOI_sama @ Nov 13 2023, 03:02 PM)
Hi, I'm a new Unifi 100Mbps (RM89) plan subscriber with activation date of 22/10/2023. I am still trying to understand how the billing works cuz I have already paid the RM100 advance payment after the activation and just yesterday it shows -RM107 somehow in the app and website. But now (today) the amount due is RM61.30. I'm confused as heck now. Can someone do the calculation for me? Thanks
*
For accurate calculation you can call 100 and choose billing department. They will be able to tell you the exact amount and how they come to such rate.

Wan to ask. my place office got register 500mps.
they give a modem D-Link AX1860Z, which when test, can upto <300
Problem is that modem, seem very lousy wifi, even my downstair cannot connect it
some function also not same as TPlink

When i use back my old TPlinkAC1200, the speedtest drop to <100.
i got a lot wifi printer setting and config on AC1200.

Do i must use D-Link modem to get 500mps?
i also got a TPlinkAX1500. If i set this as router, will i get the <300 speedtest?

I more LIKE setting on TPLink then the Dlink
*
Buy a new router. What's the use of 500mbps if you can only utilise 100+mbps?

QUOTE(mikey8811 @ Nov 17 2023, 06:40 PM)
Actually, I realise I do not need to do that. The AC 86u has a speedtest function and my download speed to local servers exceed the 500 Mbps like you say. Upload is 114.42.

So I guess the issue is with my settings.

How to troubleshoot and see what is wrong?
*
If really cannot find out what might have cost the problem, just reset the router and reconfigure back.

Yup I used this and it said after giving my phone number

Got it! My Sales agent will contact you to assist you further. Please look out for their call.

Have a great day ahead!

So is this the right options? There's no Transfer ID given.
*
Yes it is the right option. Of course you need to wait for their calls, then you explain you want to transfer from Unifi to Maxis etc etc. Provide all the details as if you are signing up for new Fibre broadband.
Then they will register you and give the transfer ID. If you want to do it fast, walk in to Maxis centre and register, straight away will get TR ID.

As above, there is a lot stupid cut-off their line but the system don't update, because their method of cut-off is, stop paying it.... rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif
So by checking the system, they will unplug those port that is marked long time unused/unpaid.

Or, there is a backup port, or they planned to extend for more customer to be covered la.
This is explain by others a few old topic thread vN la.

---
For my case, that house got 2 port binded, first one is a stupid that stop paying and holding the port + address, second one is normal port that is empty but under different address.
I think/guess...
Somehow the installer unbind the stupid port, then use the second port that is empty(and longer fiber in house), and bind my port as stupid first port.

So that celcom/maxis guys see it is long term unpaid port in system, choose to unplug mine and plug in their, lol. doh.gif

As I saw the repair guy coming in, connect back my fiber to the port, and stay long in his car clicking the tablet(15-30 mins, so long lol), I guess this should be the case, lol. laugh.gif
*
Thought this plug and unplug thing is the job of TM contractor? Do they now allow Maxis/Celcom tech to simply come and mess with their DP?

QUOTE(arshad @ Nov 21 2023, 07:25 PM)
I got sms that my speed has been upgraded from 300 to 500 last week. But I checked mine still 300mbps. Any issues?
*
Quite possible botch upgrade. You have to lodge report and ask them to configure your account with the correct speed.

TM UNIFI should do something already.
Other provider now keep doing a lot of offer and cut price.
Now Astro Fibre even offer 500Mbps for RM90 per month and it is fixed price for 24 months.
*
They already did something long time ago, which is to put some restriction for other providers using their infra.

QUOTE(safe118 @ Nov 26 2023, 02:23 AM)
No. Its charging me RM20.

You can call 100 to terminate the STD20.

Need to sub astro first before you can get this plan.

QUOTE(steventan85 @ Nov 30 2023, 09:44 AM)
by common sense, this is not possible at all . definitely u need to bundle with astro package, which end up more expensive

If one is already paying for astro then it is worth

This is more of a hypothetical situation. If I'm moving to an existing house, and was able to convince the previous resident to keep their Unifi connection (to avoid the "no ports" issue), how easy is it to transfer ownership to my name? Assuming the previous homeowner's contract has ended, will I be subjected to a 2 year contract?
*
Transfer of ownership is very easy, both owner can be present at Tmpoint and complete the transfer within 5 minutes. As for the contract, I am not sure.
