got landline number , but will charge at 20sen/minit
so, TM might gain some extra income from those low-tier plan ..  brows.gif  devil.gif
Not sure those plan  still can adopt STD20  voice pack or not.
Assuming RM99 100Mbps plan  can adopt STD20, and the price still RM20 , then they have to pay RM99+20 = RM119 for the peace of mind.
then , it only RM10 off  from the RM129 OLD 100Mbps plan, or  RM20 off from the latest RM139 300Mbps plan.  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
STD20 can always be added. But I think TM should also allow to remove/disable the phone line for outgoing call

Installed my 100Mbps today, switched from maxis fibre

Retaining the same huawei BTU, TM gave me very lousy D-link Wifi 5 router lol. Had to change to my AX20 after they left

they said, i will get free upgrade to 300Mbps within 2 months but 100Mbps alr enough for me

also a question, is 20ms a normal ping to singapore for Unifi user? I can get around 14-15ms with maxis

If indeed 100mbps rm89 get upgraded to 300mbps, that's a good deal.

QUOTE(soonwai @ Oct 11 2023, 03:16 PM)
100Mbps RM89 permanent. That's the only thing cheaper.

Maxis 300Mbps is RM129 permanent or back to RM149 after 2yrs?

Friend sent me this but dunno from when.

user posted image
*
But I think there is no incentive going for 100mbps since it is same price rm89 for both Maxis and Unifi. 300mbps on Maxis at least discount 24 months. After 24 months can change to whichever cheaper.

I am using CAT 8 Vandesail Cable. Funny thing is, using all same cable but with given TM Dlink router speed test in PC get 500mbps only when change to ax73 speed is just 90mbps. Tried going through TP-Link 192.168.0.. no setting for changing the high-speed thing. Anyone can help out?
*
If all else fail, reset the TP-Link router and reconfigure. After that if still the same, probably the router port rosak

Gomen. Supply PC with such specs but ask staff to attend online meeting.

Most syok, masuk online meeting then Pengerusi mengamok why no one turns on their cameras to show face and no one responds to his questions.

Until Pengerusi secretary have to explain to him.
*
Just find the cheapest you can. Some ppl do sell the TM router at a crazy price.

My bill is out I paid RM159 for 300,now I pay RM159 for 500mbps a speed I dint need,so much for MSAP! Add ST its almost RM170! mad.gif  Cheaper internet by right  shld hv been my 300mbps bill reduced
*
Unfortunately you have to go to Tmpoint to request the cheaper 300mbps. Otherwise all existing users get free upgrade, a strategy for TM to maintain ARPU. Try ask for SWU 3.0.
Many people seems happy to get free upgrade, but I get it that some prefer to stay on current plan with lower price, which TM should provide online application for them to opt in.

QUOTE(3nf0rc3r @ Oct 13 2023, 09:46 AM)
Not upload speed drop, the upload speed was not upgraded. It stayed at 10mbps. Only download speed upgraded from 30mbps to 100mbps. If there is anything wrong with the fiber drop cable, then download would not be achieving 100mbps. Fiber cable is passive by nature, it facilitates transfer of data regardless of direction.
*
You have to lodge report to 100

maybe because of old fashioned (2014 era) install method, which black optic come in living room, pass through white box then only go into silver huawei box

like this:

after around 2017/2018 till now, new installation no longer use such white box

But I thought installation with fibre wall socket is better. Just in case the fibre cable inside your house break and needs a patch cord replacement.

TM Unifi, CelcomDigi and Maxis Astro have all revealed reduced prices for their packages. Only remaining is Time Fiber.

Maybe wait til december end. By then TM should properly sort out all upgrading matters.

QUOTE(anip94 @ Oct 14 2023, 08:17 PM)
ridiculous lol so all 100mbps users paying more than others for the next months. how is this fair lol

Can report MCMC. See if they can give you either upgrade or price reduction to RM89 without disturbing the existing contract. Otherwise I can imagine those paying rm129 without free upgrade versus rm119 SWU 3.0.

I remember easy way to get PPPoE password from DLink-615.
snmpwalk Method
This method works on the DIR-615. You'll get a whole bunch of SNMP results. Look for the following OIDs:

> snmpwalk -v 1 -c public 192.168.0.1 private
CODE
...
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.171.31.1.1.1.2.1.10.1 = STRING: "soonwaisb@unifibiz"
...
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.171.31.1.1.1.2.1.11.1 = STRING: "n07mY45sw0rd"
...

*
Not to mention old Streamyx always uses tmnet123 as password. Lagi senang even kids can find random ID and try out.

It's ONU-HUAWEI-HG8240W
I direct connect Cat5e from BTU to my laptop. Stated there 1.0gbps. So it should be able to support up to 300 Mbps. Dunno why can only get around 110 Mbps.
Anyone has any idea why my upgraded speed still stuck at 100 Mpbs? Unless TM wrongly send me SMS and still not yet upgrade.
*
Probably problem in their system. Saw in Facebook ppl have this issue and TM staff have to manually configure the account profile with the correct speed.

whats the best way to port-in to unifi

currently using maxis.
*
1. Find a Unifi agent or visit Tmpoint yourself. Ask for any promo if you port from Maxis to Unifi, and choose your Unifi plan.
2. Agent/Tmpoint will process the port in request and give you transfer ID.
3. Submit TR ID to Maxis. At this point, make sure you do not have outstanding bill otherwise Maxis may use it as reason to reject your port out.
4. Maxis will process your port out request in few days time. Once approved, TM will arrange installation of your Unifi.
While waiting for the process, you can continue to use your Maxis fibre internet. Maxis will officially terminate your account 1 or 2 days after Unifi installation. As usual, there will be a final bill from Maxis, prorated til the date your account is terminated.

*
You can try to walk in to Tmpoint and request. Although some said can't get SWU after the free upgrade, who knows luck on your side.

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Oct 17 2023, 05:02 PM)
if thats the case then ok just have to pray they dont so rajin go test first
*
Actually don't even have to disconnect the fibre, just turn off the ONU and their system will show your internet is down. For extra step you can just use a small pin to press the ONU reset button so that it clear all the config.

yes.

your phone line is now a SIP client that needs to authenticate itself to a central SIP server.

I thought TM should be able to push the setting remotely to BTU since they have TR-069.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Oct 20 2023, 10:12 PM)
to add more bad considerations related to using the current ONR given by TM.

i am currently having speed reduction issue with my 2Gbps.

The download is variable, BUT, it is still able to get 2Gbps as subscribed, at random times.

The upload unfortunately is hovering around 300Mbps, far from the subscribed 1Gbps. At most only ~500Mbps+ at very very very few and random times.

The ONR guide released by TM for speedtesting 2Gbps had listed 2 methods:
• use D-Link WiFi Air app, OR,
• plug 2 computers with 1Gbps LAN ports direct to the ONR, run test at same time on https://speedtest.tm.com.my, then sum the result to get your speedtest numbers.

The Air app
• only works if downloaded from Google Play Store
• allows you to run speedtest once-and-only-once; you will have to clear storage or uninstall and go through whole set up motion again if you want another speedtest
• Maya Chat: "we do not accept Air app result, only accept result from https://speedtest.tm.com.my/"

... but to test on speedtest.tm.com.my
• you can't use wifi - else how to get speedtest beyond 1Gbps?
• you can't use 1 computer with 2.5Gbps LAN because ONR only have 1Gbps port after all; how to get result beyond 1Gbps?
• so are you going to need 2 computers after all?
*
Not to mention, a lot of new laptops do not have LAN port nowadays.

That's the problem lah. 1 GPON fibre shared by dunno how many. Even my row of houses already port full. Luckily for me all casual users so I can still get 800Mbps all the time. I'm afraid the situation will change after free speed upgrade and SWU3. By 2024, all gg if TM doesn't do anything about the infra.

For now, I try my best to save money for other ppl (& bandwidth) by recommending SWU3 100MBPS RM89.  devil.gif
*
Hahahahaha, you are the IT guy for the whole taman it seems. No worry lah, even if all of them upgrade to 500mb but only casual users, won't impact you also.

Highly likely botch upgrade. The technician should call their center to push the correct speed to your Unifi profile. I suggest you call 100 and lodge another report.

A lil update.

After sign up swu3.0 rm119 last week (from rm129 100mbps no contract), TM came install 2 x fiberhome. Wifi speed can get 460mbps not bad. Oct bill came rm98. I guess the 6months waiver effective nov onwards.
*
I think it is because your oct bill still prorated from old plan that's why RM98.

They called to offer a change to fibre with free installation as there are ports available where I am. I also got the SMS and email for free speed upgrade.

So if I take up the offer, and still keep 50 Mbps, I am guessing I will be upgraded to 300 Mbps with 6 months free as part of the SWU 3.0. At least that is what I have read here. Some guys even got 500 Mbps.

Is this correct?
*
SWU 3.0 is separate request from Tmpoint. If they willing to give upgrade from 50mbps rm99 to 300mbps and maintain rm99, that's still a good deal. You should definitely change to fibre since there is port.

QUOTE(emilyngsc @ Oct 24 2023, 10:47 AM)
Unifi 100Mbps LUXE - Super Value @ RM 129 + Ruby pack RM 30

now upgraded to 300Mbps, but the price should be RM 119? Anyone?
*
No. RM119 is SWU 3.0 without TV pack. If you are out of contract and willing to let go TV pack, go and change plan at Tmpoint.

Did try to walk-in to Taipan TM Point but their system down today, sigh..
*
Perhaps walk in another Tmpoint and just tell them you want to request SWU 3.0, RM119 for 300mbps free upgrade to 500mbps.
