QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Oct 10 2023, 09:08 AM) but ultra ONR given by TM is itself is an EasyMesh node. you just need a 2nd ONR. each ultra ONR = all-in-one ONU + voip + router + access point + easymesh ONR pun tadak...WiFi 6 router only.

Just an update. TM tech just left. I got a Fiberhome router to replace the DIR-850L. He also helped me to open the 500Mbps port. So, in one visit I went from 100Mbps to 500Mbps.
Speedtest by wifi, with default settings on the Fiberhome router, and up to 8 devices connected confirms 500Mbps.
No luck on getting the UPB2 Developer's Mode password, though.

QUOTE(BenYeeHua @ Oct 10 2023, 11:50 AM) And now, you are 5 year ahead. Ya, if u got CCTV iot, still can setup this old 850L for iot, this will ensure iot don't drag down the WiFi Performance. Best wifi performance is when there is 1 device connected, without <wifi5 device. Thank you. True about reusing the DIR-850L. Another new project...

QUOTE(mywife @ Oct 10 2023, 12:08 PM) Tried my luck requesting swu3 by chat line, no luck, the agent said still in contract (got 6 months left). Later on on TM point also no luck but this time the counter lady explained since I'm from previous swu package I need to complete the 2 years term. If I wasn't from any swu package, she can proceed even with that 6 months left in contract. So she said nicely I can try come again April next year and see what's TM has in store for me. Adoiiiii...... Try a different TMPoint?

QUOTE(wesleycjh @ Oct 10 2023, 11:57 AM) 6/10/23 - Received SMS Free Upgrade Completed. But tried to restart modem & router still not able to get DL 500Mbps, UL 100Mbps. 9/10/23 - SWU 300 at Kajang TMPoint, was told only provided 1 mesh router. Didn't argue cause i used my own Xiaomi AX9000 mesh routers. 10/10/23 - Installer just came with 2 free fibrehome AX3000 Mesh routers, and he reset the Unifi port, restart Modem & Router, straightly get DL 520Mbps and UL 118Mbps. I'm now happy customer to enjoy higher speed 500Mbps with lower price RM119 No mesh for me. Just change router.

QUOTE(enixcv123 @ Oct 10 2023, 12:22 PM) I also received one only from the contractor, didn't really wanted to argue also since i know the stock router would not perform well for my house for 3 storey. Me too as I'm already running M9 Plus. This post has been edited by beverlykho: Oct 10 2023, 01:19 PM

QUOTE(SwarmTroll @ Oct 10 2023, 03:13 PM) I got the Fiberhome version which is okay-ish except I am also facing similar issues as them. Something is limiting the WiFi speed to 300Mbps download, but upload has no issue with consistent 100Mbps+. Testing on my phone using WiFi 5GHz right infront of the router should definitely achieve 500Mbps download. I achieved it previously with my TP-Link AX20. The Fiberhome is AX3000 whereas the TP-Link I had was AX1800, so no reason the router shouldn't achieve the same results. Unless having two routers in mesh affects the download speed on the main router? Did you check for Wifi Channel Interference?

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Oct 10 2023, 01:30 PM) you missed opportunity to give cocaine 😅 He chose Diabetes Coke instead. Anyway, he didn't have the info I wanted, so it would have been a waste of nose candy. QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Oct 10 2023, 01:38 PM) M9 Plus' RJ45 is cacat crippled OKU. It can get just above 500Mbps, so it won't disappoint - until you go for higher speed. I was disappointed with it when I upgraded to 1Gbps. Went only and read complaints of users who were also surprised that its RJ45 isn't true 1Gbps. Currently, enough for me. Next upgrade will be SWU 4.0 and beyond. QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Oct 10 2023, 03:44 PM) Found this out since May. Post #1521 (since i can't tag in an-already multi-quotes post) That's why for my next upgrade, I'm planning to go MEGA BIG - ONU or Netgear RAX200 or Mikrotik Chateau.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Oct 10 2023, 03:52 PM) i'm phased out my M9 Plus to my 500Mbps and 100Mbps homes since it cannot handle gigabit speed. Sell me cheap-cheap so I can saturate my entire house and fight the neighbour's Channel Interference.

QUOTE(BenYeeHua @ Oct 10 2023, 03:57 PM) Nope, they bind port speed based on your fiber modem + account. So you need to swap account's location, not package. Else, go with SWU 3.0 lol. I wonder if one could file 2 simultaneous "Move House" requests? So House A move to House B, and at the same time House B move to House A. QUOTE(NimalKumar @ Oct 11 2023, 11:38 AM) My status since yesterday is Appointment Scheduled. My appointment is set for tomorrow @ 9.30 AM ... But still I haven't received any SMS confirming my appointment or any. Should I be worried? Nothing to worry about. I confirmed my appointment in the Unifi website and it was set for 9.30am-11.30am. My installer's name and phone number were not listed on the Unifi website but on the morning of the installation I received a SMS from TM saying the installer would be arriving in 30 minutes to 1 hour. This is the SMS:- "RM0 unifi: Hi. We would like to inform you that the unifi Care Crew is on the way for installation and will be there within 30 min - 1 hour. Thank you." And the installer appeared after about 45 minutes. This post has been edited by beverlykho: Oct 11 2023, 02:03 PM

QUOTE(crusher @ Oct 11 2023, 02:36 PM) I got the same screen. Just feel abit funny if I gets 500mbps but plan show otherwise. Hahaa Same here. Unifi system updated from 100M to 300M but I'm getting 500 already. Keep fingers crossed, with all the messiness caused by SWU3.0 maybe have hope system upgrade us to 800M.

QUOTE(Maknusia @ Oct 11 2023, 05:45 PM) Normally the Tech would give a call to their backend team while on-prem to ensure the port is correctly opened and working as expected This should be the way. Get it done in one shot, but some techs maybe just want to do the minimum and get to the next appointment.
