the ultra 1Gbps and 2Gbps are recent addition to the legoset, perhaps they want to use different naming convention moving forward... comparing with south neighbour that have 50Gbps, 1Gbps definitely sounds Basic to you, right?

had a not-so-productive morning with Maya chat.

I've been repetitively speedtesting over a course of few days and midnights and whacking early sunday morning, using D-Link Wifi Air app, through laptop over wifi, through LAN cable, and also via ssh session direct inside ultra ONR;
i've come to conclusion that my subscribed upload speed is consistently nerfed to around 300-600Mbps, way below subscribed 1Gbps upload speed.

Today I asked to reset port once, and screencap result using the Air app.
It is not acceptable.
A fu**ing OFFICIAL speedtesting guide told to use it, and it is not acceptable.
she even asked me to further monitor the issue before contacting TM again. few days of patiently monitoring still not enough!?

she finally relented and allegedly opened a ticket after i run speedtest using a very very very old laptop circa 2010 model that took 5 minutes to boot. you can see that even the d/l speed is ridiculously low using the laptop.

imagine if instead having problem with download speed, and you are asked to connect a 1Gbps laptop port to test download 2Gbps speed. fucking ridiculous.
what's next then? "sir, you need to connect 2 laptops and run speedtest.tm.com.my at the same time to ascertain the download speed."

wanna ask sifus here, by using ping plotter, i compared my home network with my office network, Both use Unifi and on Public IP.

it almost double the result from office network.

Any info and input would be appreciated as i can write full detailed report with your insights.

So far tried speed test on iphone 14, desktop with AX200 network card, and on my laptop (huawei matebook X). All 90s up and down.

the BTU is from unifi Huawei HG8240H, connected to Deco M9 one downstairs and one upstairs.

Just unplugged and replugged everything but looks like the same hmm.

My DECO APP has a message that says ABNORMAL WAN PORT SPD, please check WAN PORT CONNECTION.

Do i have crappy lan cables?

guys, quick question on the lan cable.
I bought a 50m long Cat6 cable 3 years back from subtel, that time was thinking to pull the cable but somehow i didnt do it and at the end it keeps in my storage, today i take it out and wanted to try the speed but it somehow capped at 100mbps, could it be due to the cable too long or probably the wire were dmg (but it's actually never been used before).

Should i cut it off and place a new rj45, any suggestion?

Not sure whether they have any QC on that, they are quite a famous telecommunication equipment supplier though.

I am currently using 500MBPS with SWU 2.0 contract will end next month will they upgrade 800mps SWU 3.0 when the contract end next month. Just last month got upgrade from 300mbps to 500mbps.

how u know if that is the only upgrade he will get? because before announcement nobody knows what TM will do. he probably can check if he receive any email or SMS AFTER he got the upgrade. his free upgrade could be part of the SWU 2.0

Those that gotten upgrade to 800M reuse their existing modem.  I can confirm that.
Anyways, in TM website, 800M plan don't exist anymore 

Take it as a grain of salt. a friend of mine works in the company that tender TM's Unifi device distribution project, according to him, around year 2024 or 2025, TM will introduce true 2Gbps plan with 2.5G ONR.
