other than Ultimate Sports in Plaza Ampang...
is there any other tennis shops nearby that offer cheaper price?
Is Topper Sports located in Ampang Park?
Is Permata Complex nearby to Ampang Park?

My father work nearby that area...
so I can follow his car to Ampang Park if I want...
but my father go to work in the 7am morning...
Ultimate Sports only open at noon... cool2.gif

So...I'm hoping that the Topper Sports in Ampang Park will open earlier than Ultimate Sports...

Pooh88, ur quotation given to me is a nice one...
it's very cheap as to the racquet original price...
sadly the cheapest price is still way over my budget... cry.gif

Hi...
I just bought a Wilson nSix-one 95...
however...now i notice that there's no sticker on the throat of the racquet on indicating it as a genuine racquet...
I thought every Wilson racquets would have the sticker on the throat...

the one I bought...only got a "demo" sticker on it... cry.gif

Battousai...since u use alot wilson racquets...
have u ever seen any wilson racquets don't have the genuine sticker on it?

QUOTE(satchman @ Feb 23 2008, 03:18 PM)
Bro, how much u paid for the racquet?  Is it new?

Yes, some sellers do try to sell you "demo" racquets (don't come with original hologram stickers --  just the word DEMO).  They are not supposed to, so you can complain to local distributors of Wilson in Malaysia.  You should have asked me first bro...  smile.gif
*
no...it sells as a used racquet...bought it for rm230...
well...If it's really a demo racquet...and have nothing in difference with the original one...
I guess it's ok...
haha...I don't got ur phone number mar...

QUOTE(~Battousai~ @ Feb 23 2008, 05:06 PM)
well there are fake racquets out there... if there's demo definitely a demo racquet then... i know of 1 shop that sells fake racquet to public but that shop sells at competitive prices  so lots customers there... when the racquet was cracked and bar code scanned, it was found to be fake tongue.gif
*
Phew... sweat.gif
so it's really a demo racquet...and it's not a fake racquet...
demo got no difference from the original one rite?
wah...but then the shop still exist? blink.gif

yup the shop still exist tongue.gif    there's a difference between demo and original in the sense of the rigidity of the racquet  brows.gif
*
Aih... blink.gif
I'm gonna test it...
hopefully it would satisfy me... hmm.gif

QUOTE(satchman @ Feb 23 2008, 09:29 PM)
I've tried both an original KSix-One Tour 90 and a demo one and somehow the feel is different.  Maybe it's just psychological.

Anyway, don't go doing a "Safin" with your racquet and you should be fine...
*
I'm gonna test it next week to see whether the racquet suits me or not...if not I can still add lead tape on it to modify abit...

I'm going to taking very good care on the racquet...however I still concern whether it will cracked easily...as experience by Battousai...
hopefully not... sad.gif

The most important thing now is to find a sticker and stick on the "Demo" words! tongue.gif

hey guys...
I broke the string today...

it's the main string (upside-down)...
but the cross string still okay...
so usually...when we restring...
we have to change all the strings or in this case...just change main string?

I have few string on my mind now...
1. Ashaway Crossfire 2 Kevlar 16g
2. Wilson Enduro Pro 16g

I usually heard people said that it's better to mix the string(different string for main n cross)...
so is there a special cross string come with the strings I mentioned above?
or...I have to buy myself another type of string to pair with the main string?

if so...we usually pair it with nylon string rite?
any good nylon strings to recommend?

Change both, your cross strings tension is probably loose by now.

Ashaway Crossfire 2 Kevlar 16g is already a hybrid string. Kevlar on the mains, synthetic on the cross.

Enduro Pro is all polyster string on the mains and cross though.
*
Thx for the explaination...
getting abit more understand on it... smile.gif

QUOTE(fier @ Aug 31 2008, 08:33 PM)
i prefer luxilon pro string if not mistake.the string that rectangle.
*
I have a look over the net...
luxilon strings seem quite expensive... hmm.gif

these 3 Hybrid strings are price about the same in the Tennis-Warehouse website...
all these 3 got rather good feedbacks from users...

1. Ashaway Crossfire 2 Kevlar 16g
2. Wilson Hyperlast 15g
3. Gamma Infinity 15L Natural String

but have to look at how much it sells in Malaysia...and it's availability...
gonna choose the cheapest of these 3 tongue.gif

any nice place to recommend for restring?near+cheap... tongue.gif
I'm from Kajang...
if not...I'm going to travel to Ultimate Sport nearby to Ampang park there for restring...

I've never played no.2 and no.3.

Only got experience with no.1 though. But I use the 17g instead since the cross will break first anyways (or rather almost all the time...)

16g is 16g kevlar and 16g synthetic, 17g is 17g kevlar and 16g synthetic... So for my case, the synthetic always is the one giving way... so might as well take 17g.
*
I thought 95% of the time...the main string will break first...no?(dunno...i found out on the net)...
ahhh...icic...
alrite...will try the 17g... smile.gif
so...celciuz...what's ur recommended tension for this string?(both main n cross)...

Main string will break first if both strings are of the same type usually.

But crossfire main is kevlar which is way tougher compared to the synthetic on the cross. That's why the cross usually break first for me instead of the mains.

My favourite tension is 60lb on crossfire though.. not sure about others.. self preference smile.gif, using a 100 headsize 16/19 string pattern racquet (npro open).
*
erm...60lb?
wow...that's somewhat high...cool2.gif
anyway...the tension of your cross string also at 60lb?
I thought usually...the cross string tension is 2 or 3lb lower than the main string...
