Anyone currently using Hisense washing machine ?

How is its general performance and after sales service ?

Am contemplating to buy a 20kg top load unit. DDM motor. Price RM 2.5k.

No reviews in google since this is a 2023 launch model.

Hisense is actually known for their TVs only... nothing else. Although I actually use a Hisense fridge because its within my budget and requirements

If this is for own use just go for a more recommended brand like LG or Bosch

I currently use a top load Toshiba SDD motor 11kg. No problem from day one and is now into its 8th year.

Earlier this year, I bought another Toshiba 12kg. Also DDM motor for another place. Comparing to my 11kg, it washed less load and the drum is smaller. 😬 I suspect it is only 10kg.

I also bought a Hisense 50in smart tv and a 500 litre fridge.

20kg top load washer in the market now are Hisense, Haier and LG with DDM motor. I am not sure I have missed out others.

So having a difficult decision.

Parking here as I wanted to know as well.

Most people would be like buy Japanese since mine still work after x years or xx years. I think the load that everyone is washing is different. I'm still using the washing machine my mom left me before moving out 8 years ago. Not sure how many years she has been using them but probably more than 10 years in total. Rather than brands, how are the built quality of washing machine now compared to back then? Even Japanese cars are getting more and more shitty nowadays, electricals? Most Japanese brands dont even made their own stuffs anymore but outsourced them to someone else.

Honestly i never heard of Japanese brands being highly recommended for washing machines. Fridge yes but not washing machines. Ppl just assume Japanese brands are the most reliable for everything

The 2 top brands available to us when it comes to washing machines is LG and Bosch. I believe for LG many can attest to it being one of the most reliable provided you use it correctly with the right maintenance (drum and drain filter cleaning)

Another tip - avoid washer dryer combos. Just more potential of something to go wrong down the line. I currently have a LG washer dryer combo, bought it initially thinking it could work as a backup dryer incase the weather is not ok for hang drying (i stay in condo). Guess what, I only used the dryer function once and never again. It just takes too long, consumes energy and the end results isnt even good. I end up just hanging my clothes inside now with and use ceiling fan if the weather is not ok lmao. Get a seperate dryer unit if you really want one

Anything mechanical, anyone would almost instantly recommend a Japanese brand. Well, our experience with Japanese brands will instantly approved this idea. Reliability over performance.

I have yet to see any proper washing machine reviews that are MY based.

One more thing to add... I too have been watching a lot of tiktok video about washing machine repair. It seems like top load is just a steel case covered spinner. There is almost 0 tech in it. So I do wonder why are these top load costing so much.

Indeed, many did not realize this.

China's Haier Group acquired the refrigerator and washing machine operations of Sanyo Electric Co., which was a Panasonic unit. Lenovo Group purchased the personal computer operations of Japanese electronics makers NEC and Fujitsu. Hisense Group of China acquired Toshiba's Regza brand TV business. The rest of Toshiba was taken over by Midea. In fact, many Chinese electrical appliances from Midea, Haier. Hisense have been rebadged to European products. The core components are identical except the cosmetic external.

Indeed. I only have positive experience with Japanese branded top load washer, they usually work and last until we need to upsize or cannot tahan the rattling.

They are always cheaper than their equivalent FL counterparts, kan?
Maybe tougher motor and/or fancy features (water curtain, water jet, what-have-you) add to the cost.
