Or can people choose to opt out of the installation?
Not asking for why it's good etc. Just want to know if people want to opt out... can.. or cannot? if can, how? If anyone went through a proper procedure, then just share, if not...

I will remove all trolling comments like asking to cut TNB and live in jungle, offgrid etc...

This post has been deleted by lindtra because: Totally irrelavant to my specific question. I didn't ask for why they are installing it.

Meter owned by TNB. They can do whatever they want. Your property is only after the meter

why you dont want one?
so convenience can see how much current you are utilizing, can monitor daily usage from mytnb portal and a new meter should be more accurate (for my old meter, its spin 20% faster)

you know what kind of people dont want one? the person that tempered their meter.

2 reasons.
1. Everyone i know who installed it is getting more expensive bill (30 -50% more)... ya old meter not accurate reading excuses bla bla bla, not interested in that, if that is true it's only benefit for the user so why should i choose digital over the old meter if i'm getting the benefit, IF i can choose...
2. Don't like EMF wave constantly near me and my family in my house. Before anyone want to debunk bla bla bla. Save it. your belief, your choice. My belief, my choice. Science have both sides when you read more.
And no, my house meter have never been tampered before.

if don't want TNB service, you can buy the solar panel off grid system

else you don't have a say on what meter they use, it is their discretion.

thats not a good excuse to opt out from new meter installation. new meter not running slow as the old meter is not TNB problem, beside everyone you know should be grateful that they are paying less due to the old meter spoiled accuracy.

well you have one other option that you could go, go off-grid instead if you dont like with new meter installation.

if you are so much concern about radio frequency, tell tnb you want 'new' analog meter, keeping the old meter is not an option.

Saving money is always a good reason. Also EMF effect is a super good reason.

and tnb as an business entity dont need to pay untung, if you are seeing their finacial report, they only managed to make small profit last quarter.its not like they going to overcharge you post new installation, they just charge you for what you are actually using.

technically it is not compulsory or not compulsory on consumer perspective. these devices are maintained by TNB, they can change it as they see fit. same like changing wiring and etc connected to your house..

I wonder what does 30 - 50% extra in bill adds up in years.
