So the liquidator applied for 'blanket consent approval' for reduction of bumi quota units from LDHS, which has been approved.

But the liquidator is asking us to pay for the PEMULANGAN POTONGAN HARGA BUMIPUTERA & CAJ PELANGGARAN MEKANISMA PELEPASAN KUOTA BUMIPUTERA, which totaled RM 23k.

Our lawyer said the developer has wound up, so the buyer will have to pay instead.

However, to me, even the sound of CAJ PELANGGARAN MEKANISMA PELEPASAN KUOTA BUMIPUTERA being passed to us does not sound right, cause we are not the ones that violated the rule in the first place.
Also, in LDHS's letter, the payment was requested from the liquidator.

Would like to seek experts' opinion. Part of the liquidator's letter is attached.

Not a lawyer, but I have heard of cases buyers of lelong properties (previous owner bankrupt and property passed to bank) having to settle utility bills (from TNB) amounting to RM10k+ due to tampering.

TNB said if no settle, will never allow new owner of the property to use electricity again.

I think you need to pay, else the your title will be restricted title. Next time you want to sell also cannot, want to pass to your kid also cannot. Sell also can only sell to Bumiputera, when sell that time they straight put Bumi discount, you will be gamed even worse.
