Verbal information. I'll try asking back for a screenshot.
Bos TQ for the police report.
Didn't the police ask you about the colour of the suspected HONDA car ? I hope the hotel worker can identify the colour of the vehicle and better still if there is a CCTV footage because the alphabets are missing.

The plausible reason are that 1 & 2 were tops sellers in their day and since the production had stopped sometime ago, so there are no parts available any longer. There are no more new Kancil carburators from the Service Center any longer, so what do you think is going to happen if the buyer wants it ?
Either the car is not insured or something really suspicious lol.
Of course it could be something sentimental as well.
This vehicle is a new vehicle that is not even 1 year old. Can no insurance meh ?
Nothing suspicious. An owner lost his Hilux after using it for 3 months only. After insurance payout settled, he lost Rm12k. I don't know that the payment terms on particular Hilux but it could very well work out to that figure.

12k is not 50k la. Police report saying got 4k cash inside the hilux. That's declared. Anyway leaving 4k cash in car is very good. I wonder if got anything else not declared hmm...

No one would offer 50k as reward. There is something else inside that car for sure

Just focus on those trying to help. The forumers are vicious.
What I recommend is posting on social media as soon as possible immediately after it stolen. If your Hilux is to be found it has to be within the next 53 hours counting.
Whatever you do, keep everyone constantly updated on social media. It is your only best bet now.
All the best finding it bac bro. My dad Hilux been stolen at setia alam few years back also. I know the hassle, seems the car theif active back recently. Been long time nvr hear car lost...
my hilux has this VTS. quite reliable. Once i got a call in the middle of the night saying the car is being tempered. When i check the car is still in the porch. It was the battery that is dead. Then once i hit a deep hole during rain, 10s later got a call said they has detect there is a collision and want to check is everything okay.

Great stuff and thank you very much for the link and I believe you are from UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd, correct ?
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
You’re not the sharpest tool in the shed huh?
Gen000's concern is valid. TS offer was to the world. A contract may have established when someone accepts it, found the car and return it. Failure to fulfill (the reward), may be regarded as a breach of contract. TS may be sued for breach.
Haha nope. I work at diffrent field in oil and gas related. Im just car enthusiast.
It's ok, I was hoping that you were from UMW Toyota instead, cause no sales person ever provided me with that link.
Anyways back to your question, whether if the VTS could be used in previous model, if UMW Toyota had no provision for VTS, I doubt their Service Center is ever going to do anything, especially if they are not authorized by HQ to do so. It is the same with all other brands and their Service Centers.

My car is 2020 model. its likely for new model only because u have access to the app "toyota 24seven" that can schedule for service and check your service record too. Also can call for assists(battery, fuel, accident) based on your location.

Bruh... you are concerned for what exactly? 50k will make many things go south. Do you think people would risk it out for 50k to point out the group whom stole it? Do you know the circumstances they have to bare? Nobody would give out information. The reward is high because there are risks they have to face. Im sure we will never be able to find it no matter how big the reward is. 50k is nothing compared to the fear of pointing out the group. The reward stands for 4 days from the day it was stolen. At balai, they blatantly say it can never be found. We reward 50k for those whom are not cowards to say it can never be found as those in balai and do something about it to retrieve the car. It's a very small world and i hope this search will be well received to those party involved. The problem in this society is letting shit happen and we sit and watch and do nothing about it. Let those whom does something about this, do it. The pure logic of you saying the victim was the gangster. I can't brain some of the logic from the comments here. I'm gonna stop commenting and replying. My WhatsApp is included in the forum. Please pm if you have the whereabouts of the vehicle. Thank you.

I doubt this vts. Cause it said my behavior driving like a madmen.
Maybe his work laptop inside and his business continuity depends on it?
He got say got laptop inside? If something legal then he would've mentioned already. All he said is reason to give high rewards is coz the hilux got sentimental value
Oi mana ada semua 100% Got 1 99% nia Kek Btw can set alert 1
How do you set the Geo Fencing alert ?
I would prefer if there were these alerts instead, 1. Electrical Alert = someone tampered with security system 2. Break-in Alert = someone had broke-in the cabin
I just would like to know before the thief drives off with the vehicle, the Geo Fencing is like telling me after the thief had made off with the vehicle for what ? That is VTS's job.

Actually hor i dunno how to use. I just check vts got this alert. Nvr touch before.
Just i need to pay extra loading for insurance plus need put the brake lock also.
I think im going to just leave it and not reply any comments. Thank you.
Only 3 Hilux owners managed to get back their stolen Hilux's because they constantly were updating socmed about the current situation and that made everyone eager follow the story and try to help them.
It's your call, if you decide to you want to go offline, I respect your decision. BTW you don't have to reply to every negative comments, focus on those who are trying to help, just like the 3 guys and that increases the chances of the stolen vehicle being discovered. The more eyes one has on the lookout, the higher the chances. But yes you were right about the lapse of your offer because after the critical period, for the public to find the vehicle is close to zero. However don't give up yet, because the police may eventually find it also but that is dependant it's before or after the insurance payout settlement.
Good luck.

i lost my old waja back in 2015 or 16. weirdly the car also hot for thief. During police report, the inspector said brake lock is the safest bet for lock the car from thief

The brake lock is so easy to open bro. Most Hilux's stolen that are reported are also fitted with brake locks worth up to Rm400. Jalan juga.
last time I install gps tracker aftermarket, it is inside the car dashboard. at least it take hours to install it
Spot on, it should TAKE HOURS to remove the tracker, once the vehicle is stolen. If it could be easily removed, then what exactly is the purpose of the tracker, unless it was to mislead ?
This post has been edited by Roman Catholic: Aug 8 2023, 02:15 PM
Yes that is exactly what is happening. Customers wanting to obey Toyota's warranty on their vehicle by not doing certain things are finding out the hard way because thieves are cashing in on customers obedience on warranty as well.

Tell me about it bro. During the inspection for 1st service, already telling me immediately no warranty for what I had done. No worries boss, my reply. Subsequent visits, instead of no warranty warnings, now it's you did it yourself ? I will do more things they cannot even think of. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

this tered fast become a mystery tered : what is inside the hilux that warrants rm50K rewards ?
could it be ethan hunt's missing briefcase?
The owner can afford it la and the owner knows how much is at stake, thats why. Nothing mysterious at all. Only those who owns Hilux will understand it fully, once the losses is realized upon insurance payout settlement is done.
The previous Reward offers of Rm20,000-00 & Rm10,000-00 for a GR-S & 2 Rogues stolen respectively, were also not taken. I remember reading somewhere in the news, it's like buying back one's own stolen vehicle. The black market price is stated to be at Rm12,000-00 but how true is that reported figure, who knows ?

I mentioned it already earlier but you immediately went into 12k is not 50k mentality.
An owner had his Hilux for 3 months only then it was stolen and after the insurance payout settlement, the owner still lost Rm12k. Probably even more, not counting his time running up & down the country trying to find his red Hilux and humbly chasing everybody to complete their job until the insurance finally paid out everything. What about the opportunity costs lost in making money during that period ? I say it is even more than Rm12k for the unaccounted losses that red Hilux owner suffered.
That is only 1 case, there will be other cases coming in and I don't think TS reward offer will be off the mark either. Actually it is pretty close figure already, in my opinion.
This post has been edited by Roman Catholic: Aug 7 2023, 12:29 PM
Let's put some figures into that for a better understanding.
First 4 months this year alone, police sting operation recovered 847 stolen vehicles and they were predominantly Toyota Hilux & Fortuner that was stolen. That is like an average of 7 stolen vehicles recovered everyday !!! 847 is from PDRM official press statement yeah.

So you cannot say its not suspicious that ts is offering 50k when insurance is going to pay him out
What ? I am saying TS will lose Rm50k at the end everything, just like the owner red Hilux lost Rm12k + the Hilux. You think insurance will cover everything TS paid ? Which insurance will do that ? You tell us and every Hilux owner will buy insurance from them. Insurance company are that dumb huh these days ?
I write long long no use one la. You buy a Hilux and experience the entire process, then come talk la.

Something spooked the thieves and they never returned, and everyday his hilux also parked at the very same spot. His worker say that day when the casing happen, got a few guy come into the warehouse to distract his attention. And in the afternoon when my friend returned to retrieve his hilux, saw a piece of door handle plastic at the ground with pry marks on the door.

The thieves must have undergone some sort training on how to steal vehicles. They bail immediately when something is not according to the standard SOP that they had learnt. If I am going to steal a vehicle, I want it to be fast. I am not going to stick around to troubleshoot new problems on the ground, that I have no answer for.
Which year is your friend Hilux ?

Aiyoh the process until ending with insurance payout la. Stop replying, I don't want to write to you any longer. How is it TS, I presume is the driver of the Hilux TCN 7188 who is 18 years of age can understand but you don't. I don't even want to ask your age. Goodbye.

You dumb? I'm offering 50k for the whereabouts and retrieval of the car. Not for what's in it. Read the thread before commenting.
Bro., I forgot to ask you earlier but I had posted only necessary information of the stolen Hilux on Facebook page with the aim to assist the identification and recovery of your stolen Hilux. If you do not allow it, do let me know. Thanks.

Boss, was it a Hilux that took hours from them to install the tracker inside the dashboard OR was it some other vehicle ?
Also who installed the tracker for you ? Is the tracker still working today ?
On my Accord, not Hilux. The brand is Katsana, their installer did it for me. Yes still working. Functions well, just that to know if it really function if got thieves as per TS case. I also heard skillful thieves bring gps jammer b4 make their actions

Yes there are GPS Jammers available but how the thieves are operating, I don't think using a GPS Jammer is necessary at the moment, unless there is a change in their SOP on when to steal.
Thanks bro., I will investigate the Katana guys.
