my hilux has this VTS. quite reliable. Once i got a call in the middle of the night saying the car is being tempered. When i check the car is still in the porch. It was the battery that is dead. Then once i hit a deep hole during rain, 10s later got a call said they has detect there is a collision and want to check is everything okay.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

The new toyota malaysia have those. Its just an assistant to prevent any bad things happen to your vehicle. Im not sure if its applicable to install the system on the previous model.

Gen000's concern is valid. TS offer was to the world. A contract may have established when someone accepts it, found the car and return it. Failure to fulfill (the reward), may be regarded as a breach of contract. TS may be sued for breach.

It's ok, I was hoping that you were from UMW Toyota instead, cause no sales person ever provided me with that link.

Anyways back to your question, whether if the VTS could be used in previous model, if UMW Toyota had no provision for VTS, I doubt their Service Center is ever going to do anything, especially if they are not authorized by HQ to do so. It is the same with all other brands and their Service Centers.

My car is 2020 model. its likely for new model only because u have access to the app "toyota 24seven" that can schedule for service and check your service record too. Also can call for assists(battery,fuel,accident) based on your location.
