What is the point..I mean, you need to get recruited to attend the courses and examinations.. Unless you want to be an inactive agent, then I think you could try.. Better ask your agent for more informations than attending the courses and exam.. |

FYI
With effect from 1st January 2008, refund of RM247.50 only happened when new Agents achieve sales of RM50,000 and minimum 5 clients! |

QUOTE(weichong @ Nov 10 2007, 09:51 PM) hi weichongthere are direct and indirect benefits. direct benefits: commission based on your sales and a year-end bonus. there will also be career benefits (CB) which you will enjoy forever; basis on your accumulated sales indirect benefits: passive income from your downline (recruited agent) i've been an agent for two years and am proud to say PM has given me more financial fredom than i can imagine. before becoming an agent i was teaching tuitions for side income aside from having my regular 5day week job. a friend from my uni days told me abt PM and eager to learn abt it, i took up the exams and passed as an agent to bcm a Unit Trust Consultant..and the rest they say is history.. had it not been my friend (who is also my upline and Group Manager now), i would not have the proper guidance to achieve what i had today so can say im lucky indeed as a good upline (AS/AM) is vital for your personal growth as a UTC. if any of u wish to learn more of it, feel free to pm me for further details..will try my level best to share what i know |

I just been in this industry recently. Well its not all bed and roses k. You involve in a business that 'selling services', so practically you have to go out and meet people, apart from a very small comission and no basic salary.
The nature is similar to being an insurance agent. Except that insurance is mainly for protection while unit trust is wealth creation. In a sense that you let your money woprk for you to gain more money. Apart from that what important is your willingness to learn, have high interest in what you do, self motivated and always strive to give the best and assured service to your clients. You need to be a serious and trustable person since you handle a huge sums of people money. |

Hi all,
I am on my way to be an agent for PM. Taking exam now. Can I know how do most agent do their sales? Is it like insurance agent calling client thru telephone one after another and ask "Do you heard of PM? Do you wan to invest?" Or go to pub or party and distribute your cards and wait for sales? To keep it short.. how to do this business? Can anyone experience here tell me? I am an investor in PM. Mostly I find the agent. Not agent find me because I am right person for them. So, in another way around, how agent to their business? Thanks. |

There are several ways you could do this: 1. Cold calling 2. Referrals 3. Roadshows 4. Get to know more people 5. Family and friends Good luck in your business, and hope you can grow your business quickly. All the best, my friend |

QUOTE(stanwhisky @ Nov 11 2007, 06:21 PM) Hi all, theres many ways to market your unit trust. Everyone have their own strategy. I dont really believe in extensive coaching, usually i get it done all by myself, coz i dont like depending on people. But when any uncertainty arises, I just call my direct upline manager for info and guidance. 'We dont follow trends, we create the trends!' |
