not comparable, i need multi-tasking and use office365 apps only. most importantly, i dont own any apple device, the ecosystem not suite me. RM3400 I already included S pen+keyboard. Apple not even include keyboard and apple pen.

The price is so extreme. If I were you I will wait for price drop and it wouldn't for long I think.

I would definitely go for iPad too, the only apple product I am using.

My iPad air gen2 still functioning for basic usage
Only issue is storage 16gb is way too small

I think unless you are using Apple devices, chances are you wont waste anytime relearning how to do things with Apple devices. Still remember how it took me 10minutes to figure out that I must goto photo album to attach picture to email when my boss asked to me to help him send an email back then.

iPad is definitely best bang for buck for performance since iPad2 but Android tablet has come a long way. I would say performance advantage is not a major consideration if all you do is office work without any media encoding/processing or gaming. You can also get desktop like experience with Samsung Dex. It basically boils down to your own preference in the end of the day.

Not sure about the luxury. I dont see brands at all. Brands is totally pointless when it comes to tech. It is all about features.

Yes, I do reconize that Apple's Ipad ecosystem is better than android's but this really isnt the place to argue about that
PS: Spen is powered by the same technology as Wacom drawing tablet, no need to charge it even, personally I prefer it

There are some advantages to Samsung such as DeX or some just prefer the wider aspect ratio
or some just prefer android (read: can sideload apps)

Also, pricing becomes a bigger factor if you look at education store prices, its the reason I went with samsung since its far cheaper in edu store

Honestly do also appreciate what Samsung is doing in the tablet market, they are basically the one that keeps pushing android tablets forward with bringing over apps like LumaFusion to Android

anyways JY99 if you aren't aware of it, look into SoftMaker Office suite, personally I think it's far better than MS Official Apps for use on the tablet

I think you can say Samsung dominance also made them too laid back. I think the S Pen still has very lousy support to date. Apple has done so much with the Pencil for example. Personally I think Samsung is too afraid to let other Android manufacturers get their hands on SPen. I think if Chinese manufacturers get access to SPen, there might be more development on this extension than what we are having now.

Just ordered Tab s9+ , looking for book cover, Non keyboard type. Can't find any in Samsung online store or shopee.

12.4inch 16:10 screen is about 90% of B5 paper size, nice for reading.

IIRC S9+ keyboard is 8xx and S9 ultra keyboard is 1xxx (from what I seen in EPP). Not surprised since S6 last time also RM600 for keyboard. In the end, I managed to exchange it foc using 2500 samsung points last year. Lpve the stand but not the keyboard. It sucks because it dent the contact point on the tablet so bad it refused to connect half of the time.

the price of ipad pro m2 12.9 512GB + pencil is way higher than S9+

yeah, some say ipad is better in everyway than android tablet but people do have their own preferences.

The thing is that troublesome to bring keyboard mouse. Plus the cover included a solid stand. Just hate the pricing.

That's why if buy also buy S9 Ultra because it came with the keyboard. Imagine if you managed to sell that for 800, you are basically buying the bigger tablet for about the same price as S9+.

Let's compare iPad Air 5 with Tab S9
iPad Air Wi-Fi 256GB + apple pencil = 4248
Tab S9 Wifi 256 = 3699 promo, normally 4199

now, that isnt a big difference, rm50 difference
so, its a good argument for the ipad air since it has some advantages like ipados

but honestly the older s8 its a better value as it comes with the keyboard case which would add 1k to apple's cost

I went for S9 Ultra 5G 512GB 4 days ago and it states shipping start at 18/August. Hopefully can get by next week. I've been eyeing for S8 Ultra since last year but it's not coming with keyboard for the 5G version. Now it's all included which is very nice.

Contemplating between s9 ultra and s9 plus due to the size.im more into reading but kind of afraid s9u way to big for it.but it does offer free keyboard.

for me, taking the middle S9+ due to the the size around B5 paper.
and from s8 ultra review, Ultra battery life is shorter than Plus.

I had play around yesterday, beside free keyboard, the S9 Ultra screen is much brighter and nicer. The S9+ seems a bit dimmer than others, and I already check all brightness at maximum.

just submit data to DHL, i think i only receive it by 10-Aug. i think EPP is 1-2 days slower than normal customer.

I ordered since day 1 on the pre-order launching date and its similar to all purchaser in Malaysia, the website stated to be shipped by 18 August 2023. so we are getting early delivery now.

so even you order now, the website still show you, to be shipped by 18 August 2023. any early delivery is a bonus.

rcvd call from samsung store, parcel had arrived and redi for collection.
placed ordered on 31/7.

as my 512GB sdcard havent arrive yet, i put my 128GB first.
did not test much last night... load my ebook from sdcard and enjoy reading.

as usual, samsung device come with tons of bloatware, not gonna lie.
i still login into samsung account even tho not gonna using most of their services.

LumaFusion "installed" buy will prompt you to buy it for RM127.
Goodnotes is a webapp from Chrome.
Clip Studio need license. i read somewhere, our tab should come with 6-12 months "free" usage, but i dont know if that is true.
i install krita to replace clip studio.

S-Pen is superb. way better than my Wacom One tablet. I did not study all the feature yet tho.

speaker is loud, but for my usage, i put it on silent for now.

havent try USB-C to HDMI (dex) and USB-C to 3.5mm jack yet.

my charger unlock samsung "super fast charging". 1 hour screen time only ~5% battery drop.
midnight till dawn on standby, only drop another 2%.

Yeah sometimes it's non sense to keep on refreshing but I still did it lol. Mine Regular S9 256GB upgraded from A7 2020.
Not going for higher model since just using it for ad hoc works (dex) and media. Currently relying on my S23+ with 2.5k external touch monitor.
