QUOTE(smallgiant @ Aug 1 2023, 08:37 PM) Anthony Loke already said no need to use the app, no need to stick the sticker, no need screenshots etc, the authorities can check with their own computer(pull the record from jpj database). They should just stop issuing the sticker altogether, and just tell people that police/jpj will use the registration number to check road tax status. Renewed my car rd tax at post office last week. Counter staff said, no more stickers liao. But they still charged RM2.50.

QUOTE(bergstein @ Aug 1 2023, 08:48 PM) eh last I read is it's enforcer responsibility to check the car license/road tax, not driver's responsiblity to prove their license/road tax eh? why end up is jpj/police ask us open app to prove? First day here? Anthony Loke already gave hints to print out the screenshot mah.

QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Aug 1 2023, 08:53 PM) No sticker provided but charged Rm2.50 for sticker ? Yes. I'm wondering if can pay using mySikap without commission. In the past, I was too lazy to visit jpj even though I remember jpj doesn't charge commission. So post office is the cheapest option compared to myeg and the likes. QUOTE(smallgiant @ Aug 1 2023, 08:54 PM) Commission yes.

QUOTE(jmas @ Aug 1 2023, 08:58 PM) you dont need to have it printed or screenshot, they police should check it on their app myjpj is for you to check for details, not really need to show I kena roadblock last week with expired roadtax sticker, they stopped me to remind me to remove it, never asked for the new roadtax details Is it an offence to stick the expired tax? QUOTE(lee_lnh @ Aug 1 2023, 08:59 PM) so post office still can renew or not? else all crowd jpj also wat fk.. so incovenient not everywhere Can, just that you don't get the sticker anymore. But still have to pay RM2.50 commission. Might as well try to see if you can pay at mysikap.

QUOTE(qsub @ Aug 1 2023, 09:57 PM) last time complain sticker like sampah, now without sticker also complain. apa u mau? The sticker is still sampah if you use it as sticker. Nowadays even insurance companies send you the plastic thing to stick your sticker on, then you stick the plastic on your windscreen.

QUOTE(simonblowais @ Aug 2 2023, 09:32 AM) Tq for giving a big slap to him.... Very fine morning indeed... That fella memang self-nominated Mr Know-everything but wrong most of the time. He said LED headlight conversion is legal because "LED has no ballast, how jpj gonna catch". When I laughed at that reason, he challenged me to gip official report from jpj saying it's illegal. I gave this, he goes krik krik, never admitting his mistake. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

QUOTE(eclectice @ Aug 2 2023, 09:50 AM) This man is willing to find roadblocks to try the digital road tax, "JPJ is not always praised." A daring driver removed physical road tax, encountered JPJ, and amusingly presented the digital version on his phone in a viral TikTok video, spreading laughter and showcasing the convenience of digital road tax. https://bm.syok.my/info/sanggup-cari-roadbl...roadtax-digitalWhy should he even need to present the digital road tax? And I question the convenience part. Is scrambling to find digital road tax in the phone, as he did, more convenient than having the road tax sticker displayed on the windscreen? QUOTE(Mee Rebus @ Aug 2 2023, 03:58 PM) Does this mean, all vehicles that do not have physical road tax need to be stopped as asked to show the apps ? On paper, yes as the authorities are supposed to scan. https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2023/02/...gitise-servicesLoke said through digitisation, the RTD and police will be provided with devices to carry out inspections or checks on the status of the licences.
"The enforcement officers will scan the QR code on the digital driver's licence and road tax. It also can verify whether the digital driver's licence and road tax are genuine or otherwise, as well as its validity."
But when AL said this below, it causes further confusion, because iinm some ktards wrote that polis do not accept screenshot. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « He also said the drivers can save the screenshot of their digital driving licence and road tax on their handphones or print it out, in case of no Internet connectivity when they travel to certain areas.
He said for those using other people's vehicles, the vehicle's owner can share the screenshot of the digital road tax or print it out.

QUOTE(lurkingaround @ Aug 2 2023, 04:29 PM) . Yes got latest announcement from Anthony Loke. ....... https://www.chinapress.com.my/20230802/jpj%...a8%8e%e7%ba%b8/ - 2023年8月02日 11266点阅= only a few JPJ branches ran out of physical road tax (plus a few post offices), hence the JPJ notice photo posted by TS in post #1. IOW, there is no change in the road tax policy by JPJ since Feb 2023, ie people can still opt for physical or digital road tax. But maybe this is a tactic to push people to opt for digital road tax, in order to save government costs. . The post office i went to last week said there won't be any stickers issued in future

Quoting myself because I realised that some ktards said polis scanned their car VRN. But AL said in the newspapers report that authorities will scan the QR code in our myJPJ app pulak. And we're supposed to standby screenshot of it in case the area has no internet connectivity. I mean, you want to do road block at places with no cellular network and we have to show the hardcopy, padahal you're the one who decided to do away with hardcopy? If can show hardcopy just because no connectivity, why must scan my QR code if the area has connectivity?

Kalau tak payah tunjuk bukti, kenapa cakap pasal cetak digital road tax? Cakap jer "tak perlu cetak dan tunjuk apa2 masa road block, pihak berkuasa akan scan nombor plate". No wonder people confused lo.
