i ordered with the discount evoucher from samsung members app. you click the promo banner there to claim evoucher.

then either go through samsung shop app or their shop website, click the preorder banner then enter the code.

the price for me drop from 3k to rm 2099 or something.

Still damn expensive. For the regular galaxy 7 it was 1099 or close to it for the 44mm bluetooth variant.

even cheaper is the 40mm but you get the worse battery so keep that in mind.

so if you aren't planning to swim or do diving with your smartwatch, the samsung should be fine. but if that is your primary activity, you may want to get the appl ultra 2 instead. not a fan of apple stuff usually but that is the fact.

Doesn't seem likely that the galaxy 7 ultra is a swimming or diving smartwatch so be warned.

this guy has a lot of previous samsung watches. they are all side by side. good review. he didn't do much of the fitness stuff yet afaik (showing actual exercises, or sleeping with it), but he does other real life usage examples and also goes through the whole settings more or less for the galaxy 7 ultra. This review is very good though it misses on somethings but that's ok because you can refer to one of the other videos posted here or elsewhere to fill in the gaps missed.

i wouldn't say though that the galaxy 6 and 7 is same , because new bio sensor ooh and titanium of course.

Another battery test


This test is not for the ultra, but for the regular galaxy 7 watch.


hm. with aod disabled, and not wearing it over night, over a 10 hour period in standby, he got only a 7-8% battery drain hm

a full charge from 5% to 100% is 1 hour 13 minutes fyi.


40 minutes to get from 5% to 80%

Keep in mind the ultra has a bigger battery capacity so that would probably take a bit longer to fill.

Also i doubt it's a good idea to completely drain your battery to below 20-30 % before charging. doubt whether charging from 80-100 is a good idea when doing frequently. So will see what users recommend for battery safety if you want to prolong its life.

But on the days that matter, for sure charge all the way to 100% definitely. But for on a normal day when it's not that important, i don't see why you can't limit it to 80% same like what you do on your smartphone, just to prevent it wearing out.

You can get the galaxy 7 ultra discount from the android app "samsung members". there is a banner you click then you can claim the code. The soya website explains.



I think i read somewhere it said "selected" samsung members will get the e-voucher (RM 1360 off). So now i am wondering, maybe not all members will have it? but i am not sure

But if you go facebook and other social, there are people asking for others to share their code. Maybe they already used theirs or they never got one to begin with, no idea.

I did however noticed some people being sneaky and selling voucher codes on carousel lmfao

Not everyone has to go ultra like i did. Because they use the same biosensor. You can pay HALF the price of the ultra (assuming you used the evoucher, otherwise the ultra will be 3 times the price of the galaxy 7)


If that wasn't enough, they also saying now the face watch of the Ultra will trickle down the the regular galaxy 7 watches (maybe other models like galaxy 6? though i'm not sure) over time.

The ultra look same size like watch 6 classic. Just try out at Samsung store.

there was a discussion on this. the circle screen is basically the same size as the 44mm galaxy 7 roughly.

so though it say it's bigger, the actual screen isn't as big. Just take the apple ultra 2 as example. It's boxed shape so the size reflects mostly the screen, whereas the samsung has those rectangular sides, with a circle within. So that circle within is a smaller screen display and is actually closer to the of the basic galaxy 7 44mm so i heard on youtube.

so that is even more reason why some decided to go for galaxy 7 (non ultra).



Anyway for people wondering what features will be missing/not working if you don't pair with a samsung smartphone that supports samsung's ai features
